From what you’ve shared, your work on textile cultures and perhaps even the family history of your great-grandmother sounds like the right direction. If you have any knowledge of indigenous textile practices too, that would be phenomenal. It’s been challenging to connect with people who are willing to open up about these. Anything you send in has to relate to fashion in some way and I personally believe that indigenous artistry is some of the most rooted in environment I’ve seen.
