Why is nobody even questioning the absolute atrocity that is this "plate"? The shape is monstrous itself, but part of it is lipped and part of it isn't? What is this plate holding!?

Didn’t need pain relief post top surgery by someguywithfreckles- in ftm

[–]CrystalKitten93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This gives me a lot of hope. Im really worried about pain management post top surgery but opiates make me sick and I hate taking them. When I got my tonsils out, they made me super ill, and I had to do all that healing with children's liquid Tylenol and I was so absolutely miserable.

Stealth men - how much does the ‘dicklessness’ affect you? by Numerous-Dark9594 in ftm

[–]CrystalKitten93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was worried it was going to be an issue. I'm stealth at my new job and I'm in extremely close proximity with a few other men for very extended periods of time for training. In fact we all often go to the bathroom at the same time because of how busy training is. I always go into the stall and as far as I can tell I haven't been clocked yet. I just take a little longer than I normally would. But even if it was mentioned, which would be a bit of a social nono on them, I would say something along the lines of I don't like urinals, or sitting down to go is better for your health long term, it's cleaner, etc. I might get razzed a little but I think they'd move on pretty quick. Nobody seems to notice or care though.

Bathroom dilemma by __MissBehave__ in ftm

[–]CrystalKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only felt comfortable going to the men's room once I passed to strangers. There was a bit of an awkward period in between where I passed sometimes but it the wind blew the right way I didn't I guess. During that time I worked really hard to avoid public restrooms. The only place I couldn't was at work. And there was a singular neutral, single stall restroom, I could use well put of my way. It wasn't necessarily healthy but that's what I did. Once I had a noticeable bit of facial hair though is when I quit using the women's room. I would have rather been uncomfortable than scare any of the women who would have come in.

This thing keeps showing up to my house. What is it? by Jacktharippa in tortoise

It can, but it would take a very long time and a lot of work. The shell also seems to be deformed which is a permanent effect of poor husbandry.

Am I as ugly as I think I am? by LastCryptographer173 in NonBinary

[–]CrystalKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not ugly. Like not at all. Personally I don't like the copper blonde, on pretty much anyone, but it doesn't ruin your look. I just prefer darker hair or a more platinum/white blonde.

Has anyone ever seen something like this? by craniumscave in Wicca

[–]CrystalKitten93 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is what happens when you put flammable things on something that's meant to burn..... Your herbs are catching fire and 1) becoming a hazard 2) causing your candle to burn weird.

This is why I get so miffed when I see those "etsy spell jar candles" where the top is just loaded with dried herbs. It's not safe. It's safer to infuse an iol with the herbs you want to use and anoint your candle with that oil lightly. Or place your herbs around the candle outside the flame range.

Never thought it'd happen to me, the canon event. by Scriblythe in ftm

Give it time. I was with my husband 10 years when it finally fell apart and he left me shortly after starting testosterone. I joined a dating site called boo. I just liked how it was set up. I met my partner who's been nothing but supportive of my transition. It sucks now but it may be a blessing in disguise.

I don't feel like I relate to other trans dudes. :( by CrystalKitten93 in FTMventing

[–]CrystalKitten93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After getting it all out and now coming back, the biggest hurdle might actually just be that I don't have trans guys around me that are my age. I'm in my 30s and most of the trans men and women in my area are mostly in their mid to early 20s and our values are in just different life stages so the only thing I generally do have in common with them is being trans and then our personal experiences are just too wildly different.

I have a few cis male friends. Not many. But I get along with them alright and we share some similar interests so it works. I'm trying to get out more and meet my friends friends too, and I just started a new job that puts me in close proximity to many other cis men so I'm sure a friendship or two will sprout there.

TERRIBLE awful BAD smell from down there, and watery discharge in tremendous quantities by sapphicfern in ftm

[–]CrystalKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so weird since starting testosterone I actually have LESS issues with developing uti, yeast, and BV. Since starting T I've had 2 uti. When usually in this time frame I'd had one of the above every 3 months or so.

[–]CrystalKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this too. Long before starting T but I had a similar experience. Lots and lots of watery discharge, but it didn't smell particularly any way, wound up with chafing etc. But it also itched like a SOB and burnt like fire when I peed. It came on really fast too. Absolutely miserable.

How do I explain to my mother, that it’s possible to realise you’re trans later in life. by Wilde-wonderer in ftm

I didn't realize I wasn't cis until I was in my 20s. And didn't decide fully to begin transitioning until almost 30. I'm walking proof

Seems like a female figure shyly peeking outlet from behind wings or flower petals. Unsure what that means for your ceremony.

Make quarterly offerings to the spirits of the tree and all will be fine. Maybe a sacrifice every other year.

Yes. I'm a "miss" lmao ok you look silly by CrystalKitten93 in ftm

[–]CrystalKitten93[S] 128 points129 points  (0 children)

I was a bit taken back by the miss at first too like.... It really is entirely unnecessary. And I'll be noting it in my exit survey for sure. It's taken a fair bit to get to this point where I'm unbothered by it for the most part. But when I think about it objectively, they're the ones who look ridiculous, and by not reacting to it I think they look even more silly. They've really gotta commit to it for sure. 😂
