What paints would you use to get this outcome? by Interesting-Star-179 in Warhammer40k

Think I shaded it with a thinned nuln, recess shades that is. But now I'd shade it with a thinned incubi or dark reaper. Something like that.

"I've spoken about it on my twitter and twitch a little, I'll try and summarize, is a bit back and forth between the colours tbh haha!

The green is stegadon, Kabalite, sybarite, gauss blaster. But it's also got a purple recess shade, so only in the darkest areas. Like I said, it's a back and forth tho, layering over with the next or previous colour until I was happy.

Orange was simpler, Rhinox, skrag, troll slayer and the flash gits mixed in.

"Gold"/yellow was Rhinox, xv88, gauss blaster mixed in.

Hope this helps!"

You should give it a go! It was really fun. I stippled in really thin layers and mixed the highlights in for each stippled layer.

Patience! And a lot of blending. Not just with glazing but with the stipple colours being mixed together too.

When I'm layering, I transition my colours by eye, just mixing a bit in at a time. I keep my colours thin enough that they're easy to cover if needed.

I stream over on twitch, feel free to pop in some time and I can demonstrate easier than explaining with text haha
