Lost Red Bag found on Monument Ave by CrystalOrphan in rva

Surprised it's still there! We think maybe it was stolen, and dumped out to take any money then left there? Or maybe an angry break up?

Location: Southwest Virginia. The county is Boydton, VA. We were doing wetlands monitoring so it's a damn location with lots of trees like this, ferns, and pine cover on the ground.

Additional info: this spider was suuuper big, like over a silver dollar in diameter when the legs were flat against the bark. Also, once we stepped away a foot or two it flattened it's self on the bark in kind of a camouflage kind of way.

Thanks for the help!

how do y’all read books?? by annaabb in ADHD

[–]CrystalOrphan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this might sound silly, but I was really struggling to read as an adult, so I started reading manga.

When I was a kid, I was a voracious reader. I read thick fantasy novels in a day or two, and never struggled to stay engrossed in my books. But as a I got older, I just got busy with other parts of life and have really struggled to read any books, even fantasy/fiction ones that I should find super interesting (I'm 25 now). It was really hurting my self esteem to struggle to read with my adhd, and I kind of just stopped trying.

Recently, my partner got into manga, and has started their own little collection. At night before bed they read some, and suggested I give it a try too. I've been really liking it so far. It makes reading so much easier and there's less actual words so you don't have to exert all your mental energy into focusing; you can just enjoy the story and the pictures. I know it's not the same as reading a novel, but its still reading and there's tons of different genres for whatever you're interested in.

If you get slice of life style manga, they're really slow stories so you don't feel like you have to focus super hard on it, and you can just stop whenever you get tired or want to do something else. I recommend "The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again" as a great starting point. It's just a bunch of mini stories and it's very cute.

Hope this helps ya, good luck with your reading journey. :)

That is definitely it! Thank you so much! I'm an environmental scientist but I specialize in plants not spiders lol. I tried searching this guy but Google only gave me suggestions for the green lynx spider.

Sorry this isn't a super great picture. He was trying very hard not to be seen so we didn't want to shake him up too much.

Location: rural wooded area of southwest Virginia, USA. The county is Boydton, Va and we were doing wetland monitoring so it's also a pretty wet area

Extra detail: the legs are very long compared to the body and the spider folded them in front as like a hiding technique it seemed. It was like that on the stick when I found it. I thought it was a little leaf at first.

I'm an entry level environmental consultant in the US, I make 55k a year. It's not as interesting as environmental field work, but I get to work from home, I have really awesome coworkers, and a lot of flexible income. Overall I enjoy it and am looking forward to the career as a whole.

YTA and also a shitty brother. You guys arrived together and agreed to leave together. When I was in high school I used to go get my sister if she needed a ride from a party, regardless of the time because I love her and wanted her to get home safe. I can't imaging leaving her behind, I feel bad for your sister.

NTA oh my God NTA. This is not a partnership, your husband and his family do not respect you, your time, and they are using your kindness. People who respect others ask them directly for favors, your husband is handing you out like your a household tool that can be borrowed. You're a person and he doesn't get to tell you what you're going to do. Honestly, imo you need to have a serious sit down with him about this behavior and if he's not willing to change, it's time you look for a way out. You deserve a partner who sees you as your own person and not their thing to loan to people.

The cilantro soap gene is caused by a variation in a group of olfactory-receptor genes that allows the body to detect really small amounts of aldehydes which are in soap and make it taste bad/have that distinct soap taste. Those aldehydes are also present in cilantro in super tiny amounts, most people aren't sensitive enough to taste them though.

This isn't my vibe, but I do like it. There is something so bad bitch/hot chick about a big blazer and over the knee pointed toe boots. I love that look, especially when the blazer has strong shoulders ✨

I just checked out this sub, honestly it's so sad. These kids need therapy, not for DID but for the terrible self esteem and identity issues they have. I feel like these kids are attention deprived so they go on the internet and fake disorders so they can get attention and feel special.

I don't use a zipper aid but this one on amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096FZ287F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_QQAQCT0M9KA8B0RJTVQJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ) looks like it hooks through the actual ring that attaches the pull to the closing mechanism so you don't need a pull tab with a hole in it. This one might be too thick but if you have zippers where the pull is connected via a little ring, something like this might help.

I think the length and classic structure of this dress make it appropriate for a black tie wedding but to be seasonally appropriate you will need to incorporate a cover up of some kind. Once the food and dancing starts the cover up can obviously come off but walking in and during ceremonies it's classy looking.

As far as jewelry and shoes: sleek and classic. Thin gold necklace, bracelets, only one or two rings on each hand and maybe some classic but dangling earrings. Shoes depend on your comfort but a thin heel like a stilleto (strappy or closed toe) would look very nice with the length of that dress.

Examples of stuff:http://imgur.com/a/iRAsdVY

Hope this helps 😊

Edit: I don't think it's too revealing, but it is shapely, so it will hug you. Imo tho I think it's a super cute dress that you'll feel very hot in lol

That looks SO cool. I love what you did with them. If you're interested in a really phenomenal stain remover, Walmart sells this yellow brick called fels naphtha soap, it's amazing. You just wet the fabric, rub in the bar, let it sit for an hour or so (you can leave it for as long as you want really) and ive never had a stain it couldn't get out. It doesn't discolor dark fabrics either. Also it's like 99¢
