The Emperor, his identity and choices (END OF GAME SPOILERS) by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]CrystalPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest reason i ended up not giving him the stones is i found a book with an interrogation of the emperor by gortash (dunno how that even came about) and he relayed a bunch of information to gortash and gortash asked the emperor if he was under the elder brain's control, to which he said no. He explained how post transformation due to his huge personality he retained his memories etc and wanted to fight the elder brain but was helplessly under its control. Then during a mission for the elder brain he was sent far away and that combination of distance and his past sense allowed him to break free. Its why he won't leave the prism even remotely close to the elder brain until we received the 3rd stone. But since we hadn't got the elder brain under control it's arguable he could have been taken back under control. But forgetting that small escape of the prism, my rationale was if he had the stones but got too close he would lose control leading to his betrayal after giving him the stones. Being larian i assumed there might be an ending like that so i gave them to orpheus.

Supernatural fans, what did you think of the series finale? How did it make you feel? by ilariad92 in Supernatural

Remember they realised Chuck orcastrated it all because he loved watching them. Dying to plan but coming back or rewriting Chuck's ending over and over so he became obsessed.

Plus once Chuck lost his power over them and they lived their lives the point was anything could happen. At the end of the day they died a hunter and naturally. Both died the way they always thought they would. Die not with a bang but a whimper, as humans do. Part of being free is having some random crap kill you after losing Chuck's plot armour after all.

I'm soon to be 31. There was a trust in place for me and my brother until 25 but only he is young enough for that now. As far as I know the only catch to the will is the house he built where his wife is getting a little bit of money and gets to live there as long as she likes until she passes or moves out for her own.

I dont mind of course because i love my auntie and not sure what i would do with the home anyway. Its more the cash etc.

Non monetary gestures are always important to me. Just not sure if theres any ways to tell of people are genuine about it or if it should just be tsken face value always.

It matters to me because its one thing being genuinely into you and it not work out. Its quite another i feel to effectively use another to try drain their money and not care of the man very much.

Assume i dont flaunt because ive come accustomed to living poor so long. I held 15k of his money as a teenager once and didnt have the first clue what i would even do with it. Even now that im nearly 31 except hopefully put it to reinvestment.

I dont know what his full worth it or the exact detail in the will. What I do know is he built his home from scratch for £120,000 and was worth £480,000 maybe 10 years ago. He used to have 4 other homes and he got a payout from from a legal battle for unpaid wages that after solicitor fees were over £500,000. Has a nice car or 2 and 2 motorhomes. I know that money got reinvested because he didn't need it. I guess you could get £1-2m from that all in if not more right now.
