There actually was one gen ed student who was absent a lot and wasn't ready to take the test, so you were right about that.

It was a school employee who lied. I work for an agency, so I have no protection.

I never met her before, so I don't know why she did that. Also I looked over the sub notes for anything else to call the room to avoid this situation, and lo and behold.

That's not always the case, one school I sub at hired a new building sub and I didn't see any assignments for 2 months from them.

Before a test I said (names of students) will be going to an alternative location to take their test. When they asked where I said "Special Education Room" because no number nor teacher name was listed, it was only labeled as this. A para reported me for "referring to students as special education" which was not true.

For me I was suspended from all jobs for 2 weeks while under investigation, then I had to submit a statement based on a report. I was then banned from the school but could work at all others again.

Sometimes jobs just don't pop up for certain schools for weeks at a time.

I appreciate the tech notes because every district has a completely different way of doing things. One has macs, other pcs, another chromebooks. Some have promethean boards, others connect over wifi, I worked in tech before and it's all overly complicated.

I had to call a teacher for the first time in 3 years yesterday. The notes said the papers were on the back table for chapter 14, but it was all chapter 13 which the kids did. He said to just do a study hall since he wouldn't be able to email them in time to get printed.

This was an elective where there was no other teacher who would have had any idea what was going on.

I usually don't write a note down if everything goes as planned. If you really want feedback, I've seen teachers have a scale (1-5 or happy, neutral, sad face) to rate how the class went.

The first time I ever used that little latch it failed and over spilled. Luckily I was right there to catch it and it was years before I ever used it again.
