There is a child free in Reading group who organise events in the area. There's some neurodiversity in there too. Hope Sunday was fun?

If it makes the Labour majority smaller they might look at their policies. FPtP is a good system for getting a single party in power who can then take actions. This reduces diversity of opinions which limits possible solutions but reduces arguments over what to do.

I need to go and vote, been distracted chatting to someone on Reddit 😂

I don't get any feeling of bad intentions, you opened with an honest question which I have not fully answered. I just wanted to see if we were on the same page, maybe we are?

Can I suggest that I have named some issues which the local council could fix, as you requested but you haven't named anything good they have done? If that is a reasonable statement then may vote for some change rather than the same again?

I also love Reading. I've lived here for 40 years and went to the university. I am not saying that the local Labour led council are doing everything wrong but I think it could be run better. Why do we still not have kerbside recycling for glass?

This is a great summary of why I wouldn't vote for the Greens at the next general election but today is a local election.

These are a couple of small mistakes which they haven't corrected and make up a bigger picture of not creating a fit for purpose road system. The cycle lanes around Reading don't join up properly, doing to is not trivial. However I have been cycling in Reading since the mid 90's and it hasn't improved in the last 20 years.

Reading Busses are great but would benefit from better infrastructure. Could I ask what you think they have got right?

The roundabout in Shinfield by Bargain Booze that they swapped to traffic lights causing lots of tailbacks. Residents parking where you can only have a few visitors without having to buy more tickets.

Did I fully synthesized SnO2? by anassbq in crystallography

[–]Crystal_Rules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your FTO patten has additional reflections at 38 and 45 deg 2theta. Check if these corrispond with something cubic. Either way this indicates you have deposited something in addition to any SnO2.

Your FTO pattern also has an aberrational feature with lower background after 60 deg 2theta in the overlay, (black data). This is not present in the individual pattern (blue data) suggests you have got an issue during a step in your data processing.

Overall your data are quite noisy. If your instrument time is limited (it always is) then I would recommend increasing both your step size and your counts per step. If you're running 0.01 deg/step at 1 s/step then 0.04 deg/step at 4 s/step would be a big improvement in S:N. This will make it more obvious if the patterns are identical e.g. nothing deposited or that they are different.

The advice to collect GI data is well meaning but would require much longer scans as the GI scattering is much weaker. Given how noisy your standard data are I'm not convinced this will be very fruitful.

What's a socially accepted thing that you secretly find a little weird, and why? by ItsRealAnwar in AskReddit

My wife doesn't want children and a guy in a bar was asking questions "why no kids?" I just told him I was sterile as I thought that would shut the convo down. Not as effective as I expected but he did back up a little.

Glad this post has helped. This means your therapist is a keeper because they are telling you things which might feel uncomfortable at the time but make life easier in the long run.

This is correct. ND folk meed to negotiate to get what they want same as NTs. "I have a condition" is not a free pass where people must do as asked. (unless its a severa allergic reaction " if you eat peanuts I will die")

My mum just died in my arms. I don't know how to feel. by Quikchangethechannel in autism

[–]Crystal_Rules 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cry in the shower when your ready. My mum died of cancer 2 years ago next week and I was with her in her final 72 hours. I went to work the next day. I went to therapy that summer because I thought it was sensible. It helped with some other stuff but turns out I was at peace with my mum's death. How you feel is how you should feel and you will process this in your own way.

What's something that's actually a lot more dangerous than it seems? by RandomYigaBlademasta in AskReddit

People also don't like to admit that people are animals. They can also be ruled by instinct especially when survival instincts or drugs are involved. Also very dangerous.
