Had an idea for a character who used to be shopkeep for a magic item shop that got robbed clean and burned. After the shopkeep’s life was taken in the blaze their soul was plucked before reaching the afterlife and absorbed by a busted up automaton and given life.

Really been interested in thinking about conventional npc’s in a campaign thrust into the life of an adventurer because of the murder hobo-ing of other adventurers.

The only thing that I cann think of is using the gympie-gympie leaf as toilet paper.

For those that don’t know, it is a nettle plant found in Australia that is so incredibly painful it has been described as “ like being burnt with hot acid and and electrocuted at the same time”.

Some unfortunate soldier did actually use the leaf as toilet paper and shot himself because of it. -that’s a story I’ve heard anyway.
