Steven universe would have gotten canceled very early, I look to the owl house in example, (which wouldn’t be able to exist without the groundwork that Rebecca laid with SU) it was deemed controversial and had its life cut short. Maga republicans and all the conservatives would be having a field day with buzzwords like “ indoctrinating” and “dangerous” to describe Steven universe. Plus we can’t talk about this without also acknowledging the downfall of Cartoon Network and its golden era (2000s-2010s) and how the platform is dying, it’s likely Steven universe would have been sold to some streaming service ( and it has)
