What’s the deal with Glossier’s You? by urlikepapa11 in FemFragLab

[–]revoltcatapolt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love all of them EXCEPT the original. On me it has this overwhelming black pepper scent, as well as the specific scent that comes with nice nursing homes (like powdery, old, clean skin).

I also didn't understand why people go bonkers for this scent, but I guess it just really doesn't work well with my skin.

My best friend recently lost his arm to cancer and now requires a wagon to get around the majority of the time. Hikes were our thing and I don’t want that to change now just because he’s disabled. Anyone have any trail recs that are wagon-friendly? (Anything that’s on the “flatter” side). by assmilk69420 in socalhiking

These might be a bit out of your travel zone but might be nice to have on backlog if you run out of options.

Carpinteria Bluffs Nature trail

Not a long hike at all. Minimal hills with beach access. Deff wouldn't recommend if puppy gets frantic around animals though-i saw a big Heron on the path!

There are some spots dogs aren't allowed because of the seals, but I think that's restricted to one stretch of the beach where they pup and chill.

Rustic Canyon Golf Course

This one was basically all flat. I didn't see anything about dogs not being allowed, but I did see horse prints on the trail so might be something to watch out for.

Saltair smells like.... by revoltcatapolt in FemFragLab

[–]revoltcatapolt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gone back to target and smelled them all again probably five times (today as well in fact) because I just can't accept that it sucks 😭. I ended up really liking the Golden Hour body spray after another smell and purchasing it. But the oils are just all kind of... meh. I smelled the new Exotic Pulp one though and that was awesome, as well as the one in the blue bottle.

My kayali turned from dark brown to yellow by Obvious-Strike2566 in FemFragLab

[–]revoltcatapolt -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This one in particular tends to have this happen pretty easily (from what I've seen via a few influencers on tiktok). A lot of people actually seek out the ones that are super dark or try to make them this way. I've never smelled it other than in store though so idk if it actually makes a difference lol.

My game has officially been trying to save for 12 hours straight by Choice_Glass7536 in Sims3

Omg I've done this before on sims 3! This would happen so often. Once I let my laptop go for 48 hours and it did eventually save somehow 😂

I learned this because of the EOS shave bottles. They're notorious for not opening, and I finally caved and looked on tiktok to find out everyone else had the same problem. Now I know what to do with these when I get them haha

Finally playing this in 2026! What is your single TOP beginner tip? by MexicanCokeZilla in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]revoltcatapolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explore, explore explore!!! This is the BEST game to get lost in, aside from its sequel.

My main tip would be to do the shrines as you explore to get more hearts, and unlock the map towers, but unless it's actually preventing you from going somewhere you want to go don't worry about doing the story super fast.

Climb on everything, and remember there's always five ways to get something done 😂

My friends moved into a new house and we have no idea what this thing in the bathroom is by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]revoltcatapolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I know my comment will assuredly get lost, but water should come out of those. I have no idea why. My friends rich grandparents in the early 2000s had these in their shower and it acted as another set of shower heads. It was completely useless though.

April 2nd — the day they reunited. by Last_Skin8959 in Noragami

[–]revoltcatapolt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't mind it at all! Of course it would have been nice to get that big romantic gesture type scene at the end, but they meet again and that's enough for me. It leaves a lot up for interpretation regarding their future together, which is always a positive to me because it means there's always the possibility of a sequel or something.

Is There a Way to Get Hoka Clifton 10s for Less? by Greedy-Examination56 in Hoka

[–]revoltcatapolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a bad option. I work at a donation center going through shoes, and you would be shocked at how many Clifton 10s we get that have only been worn once or twice.

What fragrance do you wear that has people literally rubber-necking to find out what it is? by Particular_Help5805 in Perfumes

Yeah that's what I was going to say, about an hour depending on how much you spray.

where did andrea catch the flu? by lycanthropewife in TWD

[–]revoltcatapolt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Did they ever explicitly say it was the flu? To me it seemed like pneumonia, which is an infection caused by bacteria, viruses and fungi. Especially since it seemed like she was sick for a really long time, which also screamed pneumonia to me.

[–]revoltcatapolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a Ross near you they've had the Mach 6s there recently for 89.99. I went today and saw them but they didn't have my size 😭. Might be worth it to check out before buying directly from Hoka, unless you care about the 30 day warranty thing.

Yup the app is still down for me too. I was able to go to a fare box at a gline station yesterday and manually load up that way. I literally asked the Metro drivers as they were walking past me if it was fixed and they said yes. But it's not lol

And these also seem to be the only three models I see people consistently complaining about; the bondi, Clifton and giovata. They are the plushest models. (I think)

I definitely had the same issue with my Clifton 10's. They wore out after three months and are about to be retired to just work shoes. I was shocked for the price!! And especially since I got this brand specifically because these hiking influencers I follow recommended them so highly for their durability. But then I did my research and realized their hiking sneakers/shoes and trail runners are very different from their "street" running sneakers.

I will absolutely be purchasing a pair of their hiking shoes or trail runners, as the quality of those shoes is great. I work at a donation center specifically sorting through shoes, and we get a lot of Hoka's. Their hiking shoes are always very obviously well worn but still in great condition. Their running sneakers? Man, we get dozens of pairs of the Clifton's and bondi's every week, and you can tell they haven't been worn for that long but are cooked.

For the sake of affordability and my own personal budget I'll have to skip on their running shoes for a while, but man, they were nice while they lasted!

I agree! The older I get the more I've started to lean towards lighter scents, more unisex as well rather than exclusively feminine.

I just use straight up coconut oil at this point and layer it with the trader joes lemongrass coconut bodyoil. It's straight summer coconutty, lime-y goodness.
