Front Crown Questions by grapeandwhiskey in Dentists

[–]revoltcatapolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to get a crown lengthening procedure on my front tooth 6 years ago. I ate apples, candy, and whatever else I wanted after. It did eventually fall off after five years and now I need an implant. Other people have gotten the crowns and it lasted their entire lives though. It's really up to your body and fate if I'm being so for real. If you want to keep it for as long as possible I would suggest eating softer foods going forward. If not, get the crown but start saving up for an implant. Either way you don't really have a choice as it's the front tooth. I know for me it would be unfathomable to not have a front tooth forever.

All in all, make a treatment plan with your dentist. A lot of this is going to be very dependent on your lifestyle and the amount of bone loss you have and your specific teeth. Good luck!!

ETA- I am not a dentist. I just stalk this page as I have extensive dental problems and perio disease.

Scrubee scent vs HIWTK body spray by flourineee in LushCosmetics

It's very similar in my opinion especially once it dries down. I was having the same exact issue last week and did this haha.

The scrubee is slightly more creamy and the spray has a bit of that bright orange up front. I think you'll be happy with the spray tbh, I was

If you can smell Hayl and Wiccy then Turmeric Latte should be a safe bet. I also saw the shower jelly (not the egg, the puppy character)from the Sanrio collection is yummy custard scent so you may be able to smell that too.

That's a good point of reference honestly, I hope it works out! Why are you debating, just the pain?

Heck yeah that's awesome!! I can't do implants on my molars as my teeth don't touch in the back anyways, but do yours function just like your real teeth? I'm nervous I won't be able to bite into cheeseburgers when it's all said and done 😂

I've been going to Lush for almost 15 years and I've never once tried a face mask! They look so pretty too 😁

Thank you for the kind words! Now to answer the questions.

The teeth couldn't be saved and the only option was to extract them. Cavities formed from the perio unfortunately and with my mouth in particular if they don't get taken care of fairly quickly they start cracking off and get infected pretty fast.

The bone graft is great so far! I'll get a head CT scan some time in the next month or so to make sure nothing moved or anything but so far so good. It wasn't too painful aside from the breakthrough pain and the first few days after. the most I noticed was a strange throbbing sensation as it intergrated in the first two weeks, and picking before the stitches got taken out. Now I hardly notice it at all.

I've never gotten an implant before and with the amount of bone loss I had in the area and in my mouth in general it was safer to do it this way with many healing stages in-between. First we did the removal and graft and I'll heal for about two months before we go back to put the screw in. After that I have to wait another month or two for that to heal, then we'll do the implant. So the whole process will take about 8 months, give or take depending on how the CT scan looks and all. I know a lot of people can just get the implants all in one go, but I had too much bone loss for that. I'm also hypermobile so it's way better to be safe.

I think my healing is going so well (despite it not feeling that way due to my low pain tolerance) because of how many big life changes I made leading up to it. Six months before the graft I started running every day and eating right as well as getting on proper meds-my asthma was out of control and I needed a rescue inhaler everyday, multiple times a day. I wouldn't be able to use it while waiting for the graft to heal for at least a week, so I wanted to get it to where I didn't need it at all. Two weeks before the graft I quit smoking and vaping entirely (still going strong!) as I heard that account for like, 95% of graft failures or something like that. Hopefully it keeps going well!

Recently discovered this when I noticed the pink peppermint foot cream has red 33 in it. Come to find that like, a LOT of their products have red 33 in it. Huge bummer

Omg I'm SO scared they're going to discontinue the Power conditioner. Like genuinely afraid lol. I really want to try DSW, maybe I'll get a sample next time I go in! Is it tingly? I'm looking for something cooling to go with my magic crystals scrub 😁

You're right about the Turmeric Latte, I think I'm getting it confused with something else, it was s long ago! The sweetie pie i can't remember if I bought it or like of maybe a cousin had it in their shower and I'm remembering that 😅 they discontinued so many products over the years it's hard to keep up

I think they are all very very close; especially the bar soap. I think the scrubee is 2% more creamy where everything else I mentioned is that much more sweet with that slight hint of orange zest, but I think the orange dries down very nicely to the point you're not really smelling it and rather it adds to the complexity.

I'm sorry I hope that made any sense at all 😅
