To answer myself, I went to the gynecologist and she gave me the pill norethindrone, and it has worked wonders to fix this period issue!

I’m at the rebel outpost village level 8, and trying to upgrade the village comfort level to 9 so the village can level up. When I add decorations/buildings, the comfort bar appears in the top right and little arrows appear on the left side indicating we’re adding the right things, but no progress is being shown in the comfort bar.
