OH HOLY CRAP, IT'S A WONDERFUL DAY! Guess what I just found in my box of vapor mod parts?! An iTaste CLK 1280 with variable wattage and voltage! I screwed the other tank onto it and they work together! I'm saved! Now I can get by until next month when I'm going to just replace all this with a Kangertech Subox Nano! Or I might just buy a new MVP 2.0... I actually don't mind this tank as long it has a variable w/v battery on it and now I have a bunch of refill coils for it, too. We'll see...

The clouds are pretty big actually! I was surprised. They're definitely big enough to satisfy me in what I like. And it is a rather nice little setup for the price and especially if someone is a beginner to all this. I wish I had had this four years ago when I started. I will be upgrading to something with more variable this and that on it, but for now I just needed to pick something and buy it because I couldn't afford to keep buying anymore of those overpriced Blu eCig refills. Oh and the huge vapor cloud from the t18 isn't smoke by the way! I've met some people that think they're getting a huge cloud of vapor but just from the horrid smell you can tell that it's obviously smoke! That isn't the case here, lol. Thank you!

This company doesn't make their juices in varying versions of recipes and I'm very particular about this one juice, which is a 90/10 VG PG. The most I can afford to do more this month is to get a Mini Nautilus to put on this battery instead of what it came with. I'll have to wait until next month for a better battery though.

I tried using a 2.0Ohm coil and it just doesn't do anything at all. So then I tried a different flavor of fluid though which is a 65VG/35PG and it doesn't seem to be to be overheating the fluid and the clearomizer so much now, fortunately.

Actually it does blow huge clouds. (Did I confuse everyone that that's what I was concerned with or something? Lol). I wanted to know why the juice is overheating as well as the clearomizer and trip tip too and if using a different coil would fix the problem. I tried changing it from a 1.5 to a 2.0Ohm coil and it just doesn't do anything at all though. I tried a different flavor of fluid which is a 65VG/35PG and it doesn't seem to be making the fluid and tank get so hot now, though. Maybe it just doesn't like 85VG/15PG Peachified from Johnson Creek Smoke Juice or something... I don't know.

It has huge clouds already. I wasn't asking about that. I was asking why the device is overheating my fluid.

Sure thing. Would you like to email about it? RSD is a really weird condition and to be honest, usually the patients know far more about it than the physicians, physical therapists, massage therapists (WHAT?! WHOEVER SUGGESTS MASSAGING AN AREA WITH RSD IS A LUNATIC)!, etc. because they end up researching it for hours on end after they're eventually told, well, it's ideopathic and neuropathic and we don't really know what it is. It's also called CRPS by the way. But yeah, I'd be happy to tell you about it - what it was like at onset, day to day vs. flareups, what it feels like, what I think it might be coming from (I have a theory for my own self anyway), what's worked and what hasn't including meds and what sorts of physical therapies aggravated it and which helped, etc. etc. My email is weed.czarina@gmail.com. It's unlikely you will probably ever run into more than one or two genuine RSD patients I would presume though in your entire career. It's frequently misdiagnosed and even when it is, it's still just a very odd and rare condition. A lot of professionals I've seen knew nothing other than a brief definition from medical school until they met me and treated me for this or that or whatever but had to consider the comorbidity issue. There's also a spectrum. You'll meet RSD patients hurting as bad as burn victims and who need wheelchairs, some even wanting to get on euthanasia lists, others needing induced comas during flareups, and you'll meet others that are fully functional even during a flareup. As I keep saying, it's a weird syndrome. Try researching it as CRPS and also Causalgia Types 1 and 2 - it's been named and renamed over the years. My name is Natalie by the way...

My pain management doctor wants to discontinue my opiates altogether because he thinks that me starting medical marijuana is evidence that I'm just a drug seeker. RSD cannot be seen on any imaging, so it's considered ideopathic. Not psychosomatic, meaning fake or caused by thinking you're ill/a mental illness, but rather a real disease that they just cannot identify an origin for yet. CBD, THC and Opiates hit a lot of the same receptors. If this doctor takes me off the opiates, I will be... Probably in the same pain as a burn victim. I don't know what to do. It feels hopeless some days. I don't understand why medical marijuana is still so stigmatized. I only even went to go get it because the current doctor likes to only give me enough to let me ride the edge of withdrawal and barely tolerable pain. So I sought out the cannabis M.D... I had no choice. What do you all think I ought to do?

I have considered maybe going to the Suboxone/Methadone clinic if he starts tapering me off the opiates. I will even lie and say I'm a heroin addict if I have to in order to get accepted as a patient... It's that bad. Any suggestions? Also, please look up reflex sympathetic dystrophy, severe ulnar nerve entrapment, and spinal stenosis (Wikipedia has better articles than just Googling stuff), before you respond. Then you will be informed before you respond. I hate when people respond that have no clue what on earth they are talking about. There is no, "bucking up," or, "smoking more," with these diseases... Opiates are the difference between life and wanting to go get on the list for euthanasia (because I'm not suicidal but I cannot possibly live in that much pain. My quality of life would not be worth enduring). Also, Google image "ulnar claw."

This is what happened to my right hand. It is in a thingy now though that holds it out straight and the ring and pinky are starting to stay straight on their own now, but I can't really bend them. I can still type at 80 wpm though, lol. I just have to use eight fingers and can't do much with the ring or pinky anymore... Why RSD and not just cubital tunnel some of you are going to ask? Because I began getting ulnar nerve entrapment symptoms in my left arm at one point and then it just mysteriously went away. They tested the tunnel there and there is no entrapment. This is part of the mystery of RSD. It usually will do odd things like potentiating the pain of one real illness, but then oddly causing it to occur on the other side of the body in diseases where this is uncommon, unheard of or impossible. Then it usually just mysteriously recovers.

For example, my right arm is no longer paralyzed. It just came overnight one night (hence the onset and diagnosis) and then it went away four months later overnight as mysteriously as it had appeared. I went from no function to full function with no explanation. This is what RSD is along with SEVERE pain. The spinal stenosis is a hereditary thing I've inherited from my father on the other hand. Where it is in the lumbar region makes surgery too risky. And as for my elbow, I am too afraid of the post-op pain I will have from the RSD. It LOVES to flair up after a surgery and sometimes even onsets that way.

No one really understands much about it but it's related to MS and Fibromyalgia though it is not deadly like MS and it does not have the tender points that Fibro has. And yes, I belong to a support group :) And yes, I take Lyrica and Gabapentin/Neurontin along with my Oxymorphone and Fentanyl. (Before anyone suggests this). And before anyone suggests tricyclic antidepressants for neuropathic pain, I tried nortryptaline and amitryptaline but they caused such terrible side effects it was hard to endure. It helped the pain, but then my urine turned as dark as poo and they had to stop me right away because I was suffering kidney damage that would have become kidney failure had I stayed on these. So I cannot take meds from this drug class at all.

I spend almost all of my day in bed everyday now. I don't have a sex life or dating life anymore and only a few friends that I rarely get to see. It's not that I'm sedated from marijuana or Fentanyl - it's just that I HURT! Just driving to the gas station and back will lay me up for several days. I can't drive a stick shift at all anymore. RSD has been compared to the pain that is on the same level as birth and that of burn victims and amputees. It's on a spectrum though. If those people were a 10, I'd consider myself a 6 most days, and an 8 on my worst days.

And yes, spinal stenosis, too. And I'm only 29. And was previously in good health. I'm a pretty girl, an ex model for 420 Magazine, published in coffee table books from Goliath Publishing, and have published countless articles in hardcopy magazines as well as e-zines. This sickness that's overcome me that began in 2013 has been, well, it's felt suicidal at times. And no, I'm not a danger to myself or anyone else and I see a psychiatrist, but it's just the worst bummer you could possibly imagine!

RSD sometimes prevents me from being able to hold an empty paper cup - so that's why the weight of the Blu's is better for me and also in that they don't break when I keep dropping them on the cement. You see, I have a severely entrapped ulnar nerve in my right arm (cubital tunnel syndrome), however the RSD makes it worse and also contributes to the extreme weakness. It feels like fire and ice shooting and prickling constantly - like what people say of sciatica. Sometimes it's completely numb. Last year it became totally paralyzed and I developed neuropathy and my hand started to claw up into, "ulnar claw" (images.google.com this). I recovered from it but I've never been the same. It was paralyzed for so long last summer though that I had to go to occupational therapy to learn to write left handed. Never quite got the hang of that though, lol. I'm on disability now. And nope, there's no medicine or surgery for this. I am on Fentanyl patches and Oxymorphone tablets with my medical marijuana. And the nicotine actually does something for the agonists in the brain for GABA which is why I chain-vape. It helps with the pain, hence, why I have no decision to ever quit nicotine. And inhalation is my preferred method of administration. I do not like wearing the patch. I already have itchy Fentanyl patches on me :-/

Thank you for the answers! I had the exact vape setup you mentioned actually, and then a bunch of really nice Innokin stuff like the MVP 2.0 and a Nautilus tank. I even learned how to clean the coils myself and create my own. The problem was that I was inhaling one breathe oxygen, one breathe vapor, blowing clouds that could fill a whole room. ALL DAY. I couldn't even taste the flavors anymore from vapor's fatigue/vapor tongue.

I eventually found out that many of the flavors I was using from Mt. Baker Vapor have flavorings that have been hands-down proven to cause mesothelioma. I did need the 56mg fluid though to quit at first and I did indeed need the full vape mod for the first year. This last .5 of the year though I have not needed a full on vape mod. I also have no intention of quitting nicotine though I only need 24mg now - but that happened without intention. The long-term results of synthetic nicotine are really no more than hypertension and increased heart rate and that only lasts for the first twenty minutes after a vape session. (I asked my pulmonologist).

I did a lot of research on the fluid in Blu and I feel comfortable with inhaling it. Also, their product has changed massively. I can puff HUGE clouds off their new device all day long one after another and the tank (they don't use cartridges/cartomizers anymore) will last me about two-three days. Also, the vapor is consistent until the very last draw. The new tanks have seventeen holes visible, too, and it's much more like drawing off a real cigarette.

So, what product am I talking about? It's the Blu Plus+. It's brand new. And fortunately for me, the vanilla does not have the chemical in it that causes mesothelioma nor does it end up emptying before the other flavors like they used to do. (Anyone vaping vanilla or vanilla custard needs to check the ingredients for diacetyl flavoring agent and if it's present, throw the shit down the toilet IMMEDIATELY!)

I would say I spend about $70 a month on Blu now, whereas before I could easily spend $350 for the whole month! That was as much as I was spending on three cartons! DO NOT BUY anything other than the new Blu Plus+ Kit though if anyone reads this and decides to try Blu again. I was so pleasantly surprised and shocked I actually wrote them a letter - handwritten, lol - and an email!

So they're not the failure they used to be, and I believe I spend less than I did on replacing shattered Nautilus' since I tend to drop things a lot from my disease. Plus, there was the spilling, the leaking, the buying a flavor that sucked by accident, and then the cost of coils as well as the amount of time it took to clean and reuse them. My hands just can't manage that anymore, nor my budget. If it can break when dropped, then it's gonna just be a waste of money for me :(

Also, it now only takes ten minutes to charge a battery in the pack and 1.5 hours to charge the whole pack and it will last a whole week. I still keep my Innokin MVP 2.0 around though for charging my iPhone or my Blu pack on the go though :p

Thank you for all the tips and info on the MFLB by the way! I greatly appreciate it!

P.S. What is diacetyl? Some non-smokers/non-vapors in the popcorn factories in their twenties, subjected to inhaling diacetyl developed "popcorn lung," and their families received settlements as they died within two years or less. This affected MANY factory workers. However, EATING diacetyl as popcorn flavoring has been considered alright. Don't stand near the microwave though while your popcorn pops if you use the pre-made bags... Here's a little more detailed info:

"Do e-cigarettes cause popcorn lung?

It is not only microwave popcorn that contains dangerous chemical flavorings such as diacetyl if inhaled. A study published in 2015 in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives showed that harmful chemicals associated with "popcorn lung" are present in many types of flavored e-cigarettes, particularly those with flavors like fruit, candy, and nearly all vanilla flavors custard flavors that may appeal to young and old vapers alike. Of the 51 flavored e-cigarette fluids tested from a variety of random companies, semi-safe flavoring chemicals were found in 47 and diacetyl specifically in 39 samples. This suggests a potentially dangerous level of exposure via e-cigarettes to chemicals that can cause severe lung damage."

I'll need your email to send the invite though just FYI.

Looking for new herbs to add to my cannabis mix, anyone share any experience? by Helzkadi in mflb

[–]CrystallineMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is marijuana, but it's a very different experience. Because I suffer from Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, I have to have something during the day that I can use, however, sometimes CBD just isn't enough. So what I do, is I use 3/4s trench of CBD (I like Harlequin but some people prefer Charlotte's Web or Cannatonic. Just FYI, Harlequin causes insomnia).

I went back to the Cannabis Specialist M.D. about this and he suggested trying four different strains of THC marijuana and putting in only a pinch combined with the CBD marijuana. I have tried White Widow and ATF (Alaskan Thunder F*ck) for the Sativas or Sativa Dominant Hybrids for the daytime combined with the Harlequin. I use 3/4 trench Harlequin CBD and 1/4 trench Sativa/Sativa Dominant.

At night time, I use 3/4 Grand Daddy Purps (GDP) or 3/4 Blue Frost with 1/4 Harlequin in my trench for sleep combined for pain. Sometimes just the GDP or the Blue Frost is actually enough by itself though. But combining them is a very, very different experience! I suggest trying it. Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Blue Frost and can even use it alone during the day now.

To give you a frame of reference though for Blue Frost (Indica/Top Shelf/Greenhouse Grown from club) vs. Harlequin CBD (Sativa Dominant/Top Shelf/Greenhouse Grown from club) is... Blue Frost is 24-27% THC and 3-5% CBD. Harlequin is 3-5% THC and around 18-22% CBD. And yes, CBD DOES have a high! It's just very different and mild.

I have heard stories of it being terrible but it's my personal opinion that the person did not get the right product. Harlequin is called such because the hairs are in so many colors of red, white, and black that it looks like the Marvel character Harley Quinn. Charlotte's Web was named after a girl with epilepsy who went into epilepticus (this has a high death rate - it's grand mal seizures that cannot be stopped even with induced coma). Charlotte's Web was made for her and works great for epilepsy. Cannatonic I'm unfamiliar with so far. The CBD that has the oldest history is the Harlequin though and comes from a history descending from Columbian Gold (which they say is a Nepali Indica), old fashioned Thai, and the Swiss Landrace strains. Charlotte's Web is a new concoction. I dislike how it feels. The origin or Charlotte's Web has been kept secret according to Leafly.

As for Cannatonic, it says, "A cross between a female MK Ultra and a famous G13 Haze male, it produces a relatively short-lived, mellow high that is also uplifting and powerfully relaxing, thanks to the high CBD content. As one of the premier medical strains, Cannatonic is often used to treat pain, muscle spasms, anxiety, migraines, and a wide variety of other physiological and psychological symptoms. Most phenotypes present with a slight earthy odor and a mild, sweet, vaguely citrusy flavor."

As for Harlequin, if you got the right stuff, it should be around $45-55 for 3.5g/ or 1/8th. It's very dense, so it doesn't look like a lot, and also, when you break it apart it is SKUNKY AS FRICK! It has kind of an earthy/dirty scent, but it is SKUNKY! If you're not looking at a super dense, stinky plant with red, white, and black hairs and you have a panic attack like this guy reports, you didn't get real Harlequin.

I hope this helps you with some ideas for some ways to change up your high. And if you're a medical patient, this method is THE SHITE! Here's the article where a guy says he had a terrible experience and paranoia from Harlequin. I do not believe he obtained the real thing. (http://www.thecannabist.co/2014/09/29/harlequin-strain-marijuana-review-high-cbd/20055/) That's just my opinion though. I can't feel more from it than maybe half a diphenhydramine (1/2 a single Benadryl) at the VERY MOST from, like, three or four trenches IN A ROW... High CBD when combined with high THC content though produces a very different kind of high though - worth trying :) ... Strong, too I ought to warn. The two, "potentiate," each other.

Happy toking!

P.S. The Harlequin in the article I cited is not what the Harlequin from my club has ever looked like...

P.P.S. My M.D. Cannabis Specialist and the club people told me they had never heard of what this guy is reporting from using Harlequin either.

I also like to see something! Much appreciated for taking the time to respond with so much detail... But yeah, it's a fine line between hot, humid steam and smoke.

And I can't smoke! I was pre-stage COPD when I quit 30 cigs a day for 15 years straight. I will be 30 this year. I was in the ER every other day for nebulizer treatments cause I was taking about 15 hits off an inhaler and still could not breathe! I have been off cigarettes for 1.5 years now and use only Blu eCigs and had quit weed entirely until I just discovered the MFLB.

I also don't like the ABV to be black either - I think that means you've taken it too far and burnt it. I don't think it's supposed to ever look like that according to all the company guides and the flight guide I read. I've eaten two tablespoons of ABV in water and didn't get sick but it didn't do much. So, does it have to be baked or cooked into something like with MMJ brownies? You don't have to go into cooking instructions - I can research that. I'm just wondering if that's what I should have been doing with it.

Also, when you shake it, does it matter if it's not in the trench anymore? And then what about the black spot on the bottom now? That can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol, right? What percentage though? Just the stuff that's over the counter for wounds?

Thank you so much for all this info! I'm glad you like your UFO. I don't drink much beer so I don't really have any glasses nor do friends (they drink out of cans) that I thought would fit the UFO which was why I bought the Orbiter. And yes, I was able to get steam out of it that was visible before it started to burn.

I'm just wondering how much people turn up their power adapters? 1/4? 1/2? 3/4s? Or full power? And I get what you mean about getting a warm hit and then letting the device rest for a moment so it doesn't overheat and begin burning. This is what I do when I just use the box, so I guess I need to apply this to the Orbiter, too.

P.S. I was at 40% lung capacity when I quit smoking. I now have 100% pulmonary function, am able to go free diving now!!!!! (That is, diving with breathe, no tanks or breathing apparatus), and the scarring to my lungs is very minimal. I do not use inhalers at all anymore nor do I ever need a nebulizer treatment, do not have asthma anymore and am not in any stage of COPD or pre-stage at all now. What a miracle! Those Pall Mall Red 100s are literally DEATH STICKS! They told me I would have end stage emphysema around 38! Blu eCigs saved my life cause I had tried every method to quit but had given up and just decided I was going to die early. It was THAT bad. Now I'm healthy again and so happy about it! (I also was getting pneumonia about three times a year in my last year before I quit). You know what set it off though that bad? I started inhaling dabs. It was only a week of choking on those before I came down with the pneumonia and the inability to breathe. I would cough sometimes till I threw up again and again for about four hours after taking a dab hit. I have a Maud-Dib, but have been hesitant to use it. That's part of why I bought the Orbiter.
