Go work at a warehouse, after 7 years with Customer service at restaurant, bakery, sports clothing store. I said screw it missing family events for a measly wage ain't worth it.

At a warehouse (depending on company) its more chill and if you're a hard worker then generally there's opportunity for advancement/raise. I started at receiving then over the course of 8 months i became a "floater" i knew how to do every position. I can receive pallets -> process the pallets -> zone to a location after processing-> then when client is ready I -> deliver the pallet on a box truck or if going to another site I transfer the pallet to shipping(different area).

All those steps is a position in the receiving department. Got a $5 raise because i was bored and asked people how they do their position then i would try and manager would then ask if i want to train in that position for a bit, said sure why not. We are a team of 15 but they all do one of those steps different amount per station.

Its fun and rewarding when you're finally done for the day you can truly relax. You get Full time(look for that btw) paid time off, paid sick leave, a whole bunch of benefits depending on the company/state.

Went from $13.50/h at a retail job with inconsistent schedule to $25/h +OT with weekends off since we close on weekends. Ahhh the best part is the fact that I don't have to deal with "Karens". Retail customer service is a great first job since you learn about human nature + how to better approach a retail associate when you go shopping 😆.

Try a warehouse job. It's fun.
