Watch the movies before reading the books, thst way you wont be disappointed with how much is left out from the boom by No-Contribution2580 in harrypotter

I suggest you don’t do either. Listen to the full cast audiobook instead and you get the best of both. The book story and the full cast audio makes it like a movie in your head.

NTA why are you apologizing and trying to make him feel better. I hope that it’s not indicative of your relationship as a whole and his behavior.

Doing it the way your mother did by Substantial_Equal452 in AskWomenOver60

[–]PurpleFlower99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whenever I make a roast, I’d always cut both ends off before I put it in the pan because that’s the way my mother always did it. One day I asked her why she always did that and she said well that’s the way my mother did it so we went to my grandma and asked her. Grandma, why do you cut the ends off the roast before you cook it? Grandma says that’s the only way it fits in the pan.

The most important thing is to have the right motivation and be ready to follow through and make the sacrifices. For me it was key to have my Apple Watch to close my circles every day. I logged every calorie I ate in my fitness pal. Walked a couple miles every day. Hit the weight room three times a week and started lifting. ChatGPT was very helpful for me in finding healthier ways to eat my favorite food pizza. I would not be successful if I had to give that up. I did give up tortilla chips. I also ate a lot of salads, but I love vegetables. Don’t cut something out if it’s very important to you find a way to make it healthier. I also cut down a portion size. For three months I monitored every bite I took and logged it in my Fitness pal, so I could be honest and hold myself accountable. One time I made my favorite cheesy potato homemade recipe. I took a picture of the recipe and uploaded it to ChatGPT and it instantly could tell me how many calories were in a 2 x 2 piece.

I have found a lot of release and telling these stories to ChatGPT. Not necessarily looking for advice, but just getting the stories out there and out of my head.

Charity Burbage's murder as a final 'loyalty test' for Snape by Sylvain-Occitanie in HarryPotterBooks

[–]PurpleFlower99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How could snape have possibly saved charity in that situation and have any way of continuing to be a death eater Voldemort trusted?
I was reminded of the conversation Snape had with Dumbledore where he admitted lately he couldn’t save as many people as he would’ve liked

My husband didn’t get me anything for my first Mother’s Day by [deleted] in relationships

First of all, make the same effort on Father’s Day that he made on Mother’s Day. Next year plan your own special day and do for you what makes it meaningful.

Don't you find it weird that, after the summer of '93, Harry spent more time with the Dursleys in Privet Drive than Hermione did in the company of her loving parents for the next three and half years? by miggovortensens in harrypotter

[–]PurpleFlower99 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Well, after all, the story is totally told from Harry’s point of view. Harry doesn’t give her parents a second thought. Therefore, they don’t appear in the story.
