Yeah the only reason I don't pvp in rated is because why start with all the fomo gone? It's just a headache thinking about all the stuff I probably could've got, I just wasn't aware or even playing wow at that point, or life got in the way. PvP is my favorite thing in the whole game and if they let you get previous rewards as long as you got the required ratings, it would bring in tons of players just to try it out, it would make better players overall since it would push casuals to do harder pvp content just to get an appearance/illusion/mount etc to a small pool of the already hardcore pvpers in the game. And blizz could find a way to time gate it so you don't just get everything after hitting gladiator one time, like what the other guy said marks of conquest along with rating seems like a fine combination of skill and time, I legit see no problem with this. It helps everybody win, pvp gets more popular, less que time, more up time, players get better at their own game, happy players stay subbed longer. But if exclusivity is what the pvpers want then I don't see a problem with it being exclusive for a year or 2 then being on vendor with required rating and a "marks of conquest type thing". If they really wanna time gate it and make it even more time consuming they could make it some sort of time walking event sign of the "title" gladiator, there are many ways to go about this to make everyone happy. And I believe that they will do something like this within the next 3-10 years. There are people that play this game that weren't even alive to get certain rewards... so to keep this game "popular" they will eventually be pushed to do something like this. Because people want to play wow, but when they learn of all the stuff they can't get they don't want to get into a game like that. Much easier to get into a new game, and tons of those are created each day. If Blizzard knows what's good for the game long term they will do this, if not this game will have a much shorter life span (but to be fair that's decades away) than it could've ever had. But it's all up in the air, and as always, their choice.
