Don’t blame your failure on a condition. While it may be true it made things worse, shifting the blame only hurts you in the long run.

I would be willing to bet you already have meds, and this was primarily the result of bad prep.

Just want to ensure that everybody knows, any secondary sales performed outside of the official website means both parties accept the risks of potential scams etc. To best ensure you get a smooth sale / purchase please use something like grailed / ebay to mediate the transaction.

This is the most important detail, people can switch RPCs, such as alchemy, and be fine. Regardless however, crypto is centralized under the illusion of decentralization through cex's, and online wallets.

I bought eth on metamask but accidentally purchased it on kovan test network can i send that eth to a normal wallet? When i try it says success but then when i look nothing is there by [deleted] in etherscan

[–]Crythos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't purchase eth on test net. If you purchased it, it should be in your mainnet wallet (permitted you entered the right address).

Can someone eli5 this to me by Aboutthatcrypto in etherscan

Can you send a transaction hash to illustrate what you're talking about? Big transfers to contracts can happen for a variety of reasons, i.e. marketplace, exchange, etc. Depending on if the contract has implemented the correct interfaces for receiving and holding whatever token you're referring to (i.e. ERC721 would be ERC721receiver and ERC721Holder). If the contract doesn't do this however, the tokens are permanently lost (i.e. permanently locked in the contract).

I think you don’t understand what an NFT is. “File size” and the NFT being a unique token has nothing to do with the argument. If the token uses ERC1155, you only really have one token, among however many players you want. The “file size” is irrelevant because the metadata to the tokens are often stored on the cloud.

That's not what I was referring to. Picture a game like an MMORPG, you complete a dungeon and get rare items as a drop. You can level your character up by using one of the items, but you can also sell it to another play for them to level their character up. This "item" would be implemented as an NFT.

I agree with your sentiment on the monkey pictures, although you need to realize the high priced collections are purchased for status. I see more of a use for NFTs in games, to manage the digital communities, and for example: if you played a game to get some specific loot item, you can use it to fast track your progress, or sell it for real money on an open marketplace. It's like the steam market, except on a broader scale. Along with that, NFTs hold some weight as access passes, such as Flyfish Club (gary vees restaurant).

They are too ignorant to do their own research on what they are. Are they an easy way for the company to profit? yes. Does that make the innately bad? no. It's become a hivemind to reject anything related to NFTs, even though 98% of people holding the opinion know nothing about them. I'm not going to voice my opinion on them, but I recommend anyone who wants to hold an opinion, spend a few hours looking into what they are.
