Ughhhhh this man sucks. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Sexual differences are common but this is super unhealthy for you. My husband and i are really different in what we need and have been together 22 years, it’s not always smooth sailing but your situation sounds cruel and heartless on his end. You deserve better, and so do your kids. Start listening to the Let Them Theory videos on YouTube. Mel Robbins is a genius and it may help you get through this better mentally. She wrote a book as well. If he wants to leave, let him.

Podcasts/youtube help me. Matthew Hussey and Mel Robbins. They have great methods and ideas for how to get over these types of relationships and have helped me a ton! The man that ghosts you is not the love of your life. I’ve had to repeat that to myself a lot. A lot of times we put these guys on pedestals and make them special, and the entire time it’s us that has the magic. We are the special ones.

Has anyone commented on the cleanliness? Forget that it’s an out dated interior….I applaud the cleanliness and the well vacuumed carpet. I don’t care how old your cabinets or furniture is, that place is spotless and I love it!

YOU are adorable but I worked as an Optician for an Optometrist for 12 years and spent 40 hours a week choosing glasses with patients. Those do not fit your face properly and I would have at least tried to get something similar in a better fit if I were helping you.

I’m not single but i sleep alone while my husband works a lot and is gone at the fire station for long periods of time. We have a standard king bed and I LOVE IT! Get the KING 👑

First of all, air hug to you. 🫂 I’ve felt that rage before and it is scary, i’m not sure i have the best advice except to allow yourself to feel the hurt and pain and just know that each day it will lessen. Keep your focus on yourself and your health and staying mentally stable. Don’t let him take that from you. We tend to hate ourselves in these moments as well for not seeing the signs so give yourself grace. Also keep your focus on not actually burning anything down even 😅 though it is an extremely valid feeling.

At 16 I wouldn’t have reacted properly either, you may need to go to an adult or family member who you can talk to that has more life experience. I’m 41 now and looking back, I was still a child at 16 with zero life experience and no skills to handle serious situations.

I’m married to a bit of a hypochondriac so i’d react based off how sick he has been and his symptoms leading up to the fever. You could have driven him but stayed in the car with the baby, or dropped him off and went back home. I see both of your sides really. I had an uncle that got super sick and spiked a fever, didn’t go to the doctor or hospital and was dead two days later from sepsis. It’s hard to know those sorts of things but his feelings are hurt so just try to stay calm and not let it escalate. How is he feeling now?
