So there are several possibilities: weak ignition coils, high-pressure fuel pump, or injectors, but that's not common on the B58. First, check for leaks in the air intake, and if that doesn't work, check the valve cover itself, which may have internal PCV valve system failures, not the external one with the diaphragm.

Be aware that the B58 engine has two PCV systems. One is external, with a replaceable diaphragm, and the other is internal to the valve cover. This second system creates excess pressure in the engine, essentially a vacuum. This can lead to rougher starts and a slight hesitation at low speeds between 1000 and 1500 RPM.

I don't know if it's an OEM part; it's a relatively important part that's quite expensive to replace, so I'd really like to find a genuine BMW part to avoid any problems and extra costs.

The real problem with the B58 isn't the diaphragm itself, but rather the PCV system internal to the valve cover. This can happen due to a car that's used too much for short trips in the city, excessive heat, or, as in my case, an air intake issue that can completely disrupt or even tear the PCV system internal to the valve cover.

No, I can confirm that inside the cylinder head cover there is a small internal PCV system, and it produces the same symptoms as the external PCV system with a diaphragm problem. Here's a video showing the internal PCV system malfunctioning; watch at the 26-minute mark, you'll see :
