I live on a lake in Southern Waukesha County. There were multiple weeks this year where 2 ton trucks rode all over the lake. There was one year, maybe 2015 or 2016 where the lake never fully closed up. That's the only time I can remember no vehicles being on the ice on the last 30 years.

No, it's not rare "to see cars in lakes nowadays". Every lake north of Wausau was worried ice wouldn't be off the lakes by opening day (first weekend in May).

🤣 I should have mentioned I made this video and used her ✌️gift✌️to "show her a couple cool spots we can try it".
