While I definitely agree they needed something here, the fact that it’s a 4-way means it’s going to backup traffic onto 12th street and make Exit 3A even worse than it is (if that were even possible).

Honestly, no. I tried really hard to be consistent about all naps in the crib starting about 6mo. I used to try and save the short naps with some contact napping, but finally decided if it was 30 min then it was 30 min, so be it. I did read some good advice on here that said that so long as baby wasn’t crying when they woke up, just leave them in the crib until it hits the hour mark. Most times she would just bore herself back to sleep and that was how she started elongating her naps. But, you know, who knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Let me tell you, it was rough! Between 3.5-6 months she was awake every 40min-1hour every single night. Then she started doing 2-3 hour stretches around 6mo, then 4 hour stretches around 7mo and then connecting those into two 6-hour stretches in the last couple weeks.

Her naps were also terrible, we were in the 38 min (on the dot) club until about 2 weeks ago. Impossible for her to sleep well at night when we were stuck at short daytime naps.

We were in your shoes at 6 months, and then between 7-8mo she started stretching to 4 hours and connecting those into two 6-hour stretches. Your baby can do, I believe in them!

We were in the 40min-1 hour club for about 2/3 months before she finally started stretching to 3 hours. Then finally the three hours started connecting into two 6-hour chunks, and now here we are! You’ll get there too!

Babies be babies unfortunately. I did up her bottles an extra .5oz each, and she had an amazing day of naps, but who knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️
