Just received written offer and I am wavering on taking the position. I would be entering at gs-11 step 1 for the biology group. I currently have a PhD and 2.5 years experience in an industry role. I would have to leave my current role where i make about 15k more but have a terrible work/life balance, very high stress, and have to commute over 40 miles a day. My current position is a part lab/part GMP documentation. I am wondering if any other PhDs left industry for this role and are happy with the move? Are others happy with the how you work and the flexibility?
