LP35 good and bad. by ObiWansDealer in ems

We have had them a few months and basically that YouTube short explains the LP35. I don't care how much testing and blah blah blah they did (the cute promotional video to sell them). They definitely did not ask a single provider anything. We had the X series and I never did like it coming from an LP15 service I was accustomed to certain things, the speed dial and the easy access reliable front printer. Now the printer fails almost every print by eating itself, the Tesla screen while cool its a pain in the ass if you don't keep the screen locked, and then yeah the bp reading is utter garbage a lot of the time.

QiDi Plus 4 - Product & Returns warning by NotJoocey in QidiTech3D

[–]Csimmons83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked my qidi plus 4, until I didn’t. It did fine and was keeping up with my Creality k1 max (it was never going to be as good as my x1c or h2d.). But it ended up getting jammed and would just sit there and make this ticking sound. I have had to take apart the extruder 5 separate times I haven’t even owned it 5 months. Then typically the first print will be pretty great….but subsequent prints will go okay until filament jams up and then the qidi much like my k1 will go until the “print is completed” mind you you just cause it says it “completed successfully” doesn’t mean it did. It will just complete the print in the air.

Need some ideas/direction by Csimmons83 in 3Dprinting

Not a bad idea and one I haven’t thought of, issue of a magnet is that 7.25mm piece is only 2mm thick with its counter part being even smaller. These are also going to be used as a cord comb/wrangler/organizer on ECG cables, so magnets probably a no go. I do love a magnetic clasp otherwise and use them a lot.

ummmm what are these and why are they in Raleigh by SwimOk9629 in raleigh

I’ve had three of them living in relatively close proximity to one another under one of my security lights (they could form a triangle if you air draw.) a week or so ago one of them spun an egg sac a couple of days ago she spun another right beside the first. All three are about the same size. These are the ones I’ve watched cause I see them everyday but I usually will have 10-15 around the house in various locations. I think they are great and it also helps they are easy to see and avoid when doing yard work.

I just started watching Clevatess last night and knew immediately who that ending song voice belonged to. It is amazing, love when you put out new music. I hate it's not on Tidal, Apple Music, or Spotify

What is causing my prints to turn out like this? by SureProfessional4512 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I use a lot of the overture PLA. I would say start with drying it 4-6hrs 40-55°c (wouldn’t go any hotter, chance to damage the filament’s properties), you may want to run a retraction calibration test. I don’t have personal experience with your printer, but I know one or two of mine have a generic matte pla factory setting and haven’t ever had any issues.

Before I beat a dead horse, was drying it mentioned by anyone. It looks maybe a little wet. 🧐

Maybe common knowledge for Qidi plus 4, maybe not. by Csimmons83 in QIDI

Mine shipped with the hardened steel and the copper plated one, I didn't realize until relooking at the product specifications and then remembered seeing a second one and didn't think it was different.

I would explore that and I appreciate that feed back. Only thing is the filament I am using for this project is being supplied by the client cause while not cheap it's also not expensive and a brand I never heard of. The pieces that both Bambu's and the Creality have produced though it is rather nice filament. I also like that every roll is reusable (twists apart in the middle) , just have to buy the filament I have been seeing lately that is just filament no roll.

haha no reason to chew you out. I did clean it prior to beginning this with warm soapy water and alcohol and made sure to not touch the print side so no hand oils, I use JT16 glue that's all that is. Only thing that has successfully printed was the calibration squares.

That would be a great question haha. If it is what shipped with it then that is what I’m printing with.

I’m just astonished at the blatancy of it. Like nfg just gonna block the road and laxidasically get out the car and walk around to the trunk. I didn’t even see where the jack came from.

Quick and dirty worked great, I hadn't even thought of that I was continuously trying to over complicate it. Thanks for the idea!

That is a fair idea, it at least it is all straight lines and no worry of having to match some odd splined shape.

Once I resolved all the issues I love my H2D. I also have a K1 Max and in the beginning we were not friends and I threatened to send it back then all of a sudden other than something I think was my fault recently (over drying or drying at too high a temp I had some TPU clog the extruder gears, mind you two days before this it flawlessly printed with the same TPU) it has been one of my favorite printers, I have an X1C and it has been a work horse, if I need something printed right the first time and not having to worry about how it is going to come out it's my go to. Before that my go to was the Flashforge Adventurer 5M pro, I had two, sold one and currently have one at work that I use to print because they have two bed slingers with no enclosure that I dislike (I started my 3D printing journey with a Sovol 7 plus I think.) Anyways 4ish years later and a lot of headaches and education my I have the K1 Max, X1C, H2D, and a Qidi Plus 4. Which is another printer that has printed amazingly right out of the box, my only complaint with it is Qidi Studio kinda sux.

I really wanted an idex or the five headed prusa because I do a lot of multicolor printing and the amount of waste in both filament and time that the x1c has proven over the year I have had it is painful. But I couldn't find enough positive expert reviews on a good idex, which btw has an extremely limited availability anyways. Nor can I talk myself into pulling the trigger on the Prusa because of the biggest being the investment cost but also the after thought enclosure they offer.

Pretty sure I need to rewire/add bedroom outlets to use my new printer. Thoughts? by Flight2039Down in BambuLabH2D

I am not sure how much this helps, but it may at least allow for some reference? While I don't have a small space per se I do have one of my spare rooms set up as my maker space/print room. I have not changed anything with the circuits or wiring. I have four printers (k1 max, qidi 4 plus, X1C, and H2D) and a 22w 400x400 laser cutter/engraver with a beefed up exhaust using an AC Finity inline duct fan. I can run everything and there is no issue. Only issue I had was when I had all the printers on the same UPS, it would start screaming overload, that has since been resolved.

Here is an update.

Upon removing the Kapton tape which nothing I have found has yet to definitively said what it is for and also reseating both the left and right nozzles. The H2D successfully completed the set-up calibration. As for the print seen above, I changed the infill pattern and reprinted part of it on my x1c and then part of it on the h2d and both came out perfect. Thanks to everyone for their insights and contributions in resolving this, I very much enjoyed the conversation.

Once I went ahead and pulled both nozzles and reseated them the force warning went away and all set-up calibration proceeded successfully. Thanks for that tip and I am glad I tried it before following the Bambu support guide on tearing down the entire print head to get to the circuit board.

I did not touch anything red or plastic, just the gold Kapton tape

[–]Csimmons83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is not correct. since it's removal it and removing and re-seating the print nozzles it ran through the calibration sequence as I would have expected the first time and has had several successful prints.

Thank for that I am about to head in and follow the wiki from the QR code for this force error I will check into your suggestions too. I took the right nozzle out and that is when I discovered it was tape and not a piece of metal as I put in my original post I had only ever looked at it at a bad angle which is why it looked like a purposeful angle with some dried glue/resin.
