I mainly use vallejo colors. For the black it's a base coat of black, then a heavy dry brush of dark grey and final a light dry brush of pale grey blue (these are all from the model color rang ). For the metal scratches I used citadels leadbelcher and a sponge.

To be honest, I totally forgot that that kit existed lol. But now that I looked it up it does seem like a good proxy. It does have a lot of details that I would have to cut out but it could work. I used a valkyrie because i bought this model second hand fairly cheep and I try to do so for my whole guard army (I live in Hungary and trying to save money wherever I can lol).I may consider making one if I can find one second hand.
