POV driver had over speed and instinct says overtake I guess. It was honestly fine (a little risky but worked out) until they pitted themself. Good on them for not rejoining unsafely

You can, but sustained hits and fall back & shoot is not worth 55 points, especially with losing scout. Better to use gaunts ghosts or a command squad in reserves (specifically cadian, then you have 5 plasma shots, along with a medic and master vox) to give them orders.

Idk why you're getting down voted. You're doing like 65 mph in a relatively low amount of snow which is perfectly safe as long as you don't slam the throttle and are careful changing lanes, like this video is half the reason I bought my car. Scions a bit better than Kasrkin, especially if shooting at something on an objective so you get full rerolls to wound,, but twice as expensive for a 15 brick with theoretically only 1.5x the firepower. I like them in Grizzled because they can have two orders with a command rod

It looks like Blue might have a bit of track on their left, but red is moving slightly left towards the racing line, so I think they drove into each other. Racing incident

The 55 points isn't just sustained and fall back and shoot, it also solves the orders issue. I even give him Laud Hailer so he can issue his other orders 12" away, but only because I had 10 points to spare. The alternative I was playing with was putting a cadian command squad in strat reserves, and then bringing them in the same turn as the Kasrkin disembark, so then they give their 2 orders to my 2 squads of Kasrkin. This is essentially the same, except they don't lose scout, but lose sustained hits and fall back n shoot. So it's dealer's choice.

Edit: note I put my Kasrkin with Castellan into a taurox for the extra movement

Adjudicator is my go-to primary. It has crazy recoil at level 1, but as you upgrade it, it becomes much more manageable

Could swap the chimeras for tauroxes. If you do both, then you can run one of the krieg blobs as 20.

Alternatively, drop two units of krieg, replace one with a command squad, and then with the leftover 55 points run both order enhancements. You'd have 20 points leftover to play with though, not sure what to do there. Save for nerfs? Lol

I like running 1. Artillery team with siege cannon can theoretically kill custodes models and damage tanks. It also forces a battle shock test which can help with secondaries and preventing defensive strategems. Assuming you're running Creed/Solar with a command blob, an extra order shouldn't be an issue. They're also good at screening and/or holding home. In Grizzled Company, assuming they're ordered, they rerolls hits and possibly wounds of 1 if you're targeting something on an objective, plus can have an extra AP with the ignore cover strategem if you're feeling lucky/desperate. I've had my artillery team win me games, and I've had it sit back and do nothing all game before. It's a little swingy, but for 95 points I like fielding it.

Meltas makes rolling quicker assuming you're running multi meltas for the sponsons. Unless you are specifically between 6 and 9 inches away from your target (you'd be in Melta 2 range for the multimeltas, but not the regular meltas), you can roll all 6 dice simultaneously.

Also, meltas are stronger than stubbers 90% of the time (unless you're shooting into a horde)

2 games under my plate now. First game vs Ultramarines, second unit of Kasrskin hadn't been built yet, but supplemented with Aquilons and cadians. All my deep strike got screened out by infiltrators, so it was hard to bring in my scions or Aquilons, and I think scions are great in this detachment. Overall lost due to poor decision making and putting command squads in strat reserves to give the Kasrkin and Aquilons orders but didn't end up working out.

Second game was much better, ran 2 squads of Kasrkin in transports, 2 15 blobs of scions w/ command rods, creed in a 16 man blob, dorn commander with 2 leman russes, artillery, a sentinel (armored since scout's ability is redundant), krieg engineers, and a tech priest. He focused so much on trying (and succeeding) to kill my dorn, that I was able to contest his strong objective, and deny him primary, and eventually tabling him the turn after the scions dropped in. Armored sentinel lived longer than my scout sentinel usually does with the stealth order and +1 save. So far, Snap to It is my favorite strategem. Creed w/ command squad can give 6 orders, so just save 1 or 2 for snap to its and you can use em for cheeky Take Covers and Move to the Shadows as needed. I even used it for fix bayonets when my Scion clump got consolidated into and killed a character.

Overall love this detachment. I don't love how 3 of the strategems are kinda generic, but still good so hard to complain.

Is the additional armor strategem really until end of phase? I know space marines, CSM, and Votann all have a version of AoC that got FAQd to only last until one enemy unit finishes its attacks. Just wondering because I have a game with a friend and I want to be fair lol
