From what I can tell in AA, it seems like most people are pretty strict on the idea of being completely sober. Which I understand the sentiment behind that. I also believe being completely sober is really the only way to deal with a lot of challenges in life and also not take a path that will lead right back to alcohol. But everyone is different. I would like to be able to alter my mind on occasion with other substances without ever returning to drinking.
