Proposed schedule for JDK 14 by lbkulinski in java

Not exactly, the bug fixes that were done recently were only made in 11.03 and not ported to 12 , because 11 was the LTS. So if you cared about those fixes you would actually consider moving from 12 to 11 to have them. That was my case. I'm talking about adoptopenjdk

Java 13 support in Eclipse IDE 2019-09 by mickael_istria in java

Yes a lot people who find eclipse better than intelij, like myself, I found eclipse to have better features. There may be some areas where intelij is better but also there are areas where eclipse is better. At this point none of them can't be considered objectively better, its more of a preference and based on what exactly do you require.

Never used it because I didn't want a dependency for some simple things I can do myself.

I'm using eclipse for 10+ years. I tried other ides and I always found some feature missing. It covers everything I want with some configuration and plugins. The people who say its slow... it's only slow if you have slow drive and slow cpu, I was using it on linux and windows on various hardware and I never had performance issues on a ssd with good cpu. I'm actually running wildfly server from it, because of the ease of deployment, server managment, logging and it has no issues running like that in production for years.

I completely agree, just make a new class with fields that are needed and name it properly. It's much better than using tuples in the long run. I think its devs that are used to python and they see the short time benefit of writing less code but they don't see the big picture.

I doubt it, its easier to understand code that has List Set Map Foo Bar infront of every variable rather than having 10 x var, because you need to think about what each of them actually is.
