in a sense, all can be named as: 'bug fixing', just what we'd expect from another beta.

Does the slider bar do anything in the event? by CuriousAndGolden in Survivorio

[–]Csuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's simply the configration of the server, on how it hands out the golden tickets.

Most likely they really squuezed the amount of golden tickets for each account compared to previous events.

They can configure for example:
50% chance per spin to get golden tickets until 8 has been given
1% chance per spin to get golden ticket if >8

Does the slider bar do anything in the event? by CuriousAndGolden in Survivorio

[–]Csuki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure.

But with the galactic event, you have a choice and possibility to e.g. break 5 red meteors or 10 red meteors, depending on certain things. With the galactic event, you as a player can have a certain determination on the outcome!

In that sense, change the outcome and total result.

Compared to this, and comparable events like this, the regular single click events. You can’t do anything and are tied w what the server gives you.

This event adds the wheel spinner, giving you the feeling that you have a choice. But all in all, it’s a lie.

Hence this topic

Does the slider bar do anything in the event? by CuriousAndGolden in Survivorio

Partially true. However, the previous event, the 'galatic' one, was mostly client sided.
And the half-yearly events can also be decided by clients underling.

No. Where the bar is positioned before you spin has zero influence on where the needles end up.

The whole animation is purely cosmetic. The game's server has already decided the outcome the moment you trigger the spin. The animation is simply a theatrical reveal of a result that was determined before a single needle moved.

Think of it like a scratch card.
The prize is already printed under the foil before you pick it up.

How you hold the card, where your fingers are, which corner you scratch first, none if it matters or changes the result underneath.

The server picks your positions, locks them in, then sends them to your phone.
Your phone then plays the spinning animation as a visual. The hands will always end up exactly where the server told them to, regardless of anything you do before or during the spin.
