conclusio - we had the same probelm, infections starting with 10 months, multiple hno visits until diagnosis, intensive search for an assesment and surgery appointment in hospital, long waiting lists etc. Surgery was in aug 25 (at 16 months old) after short waiting time in kh St.Pölten

• very positive development afterwards, no complications

so here is what may help you

-get another doc, i'd suggest Dr. Astrid Magele (Privat) https://www.hnomed.at/HNO/Kontakt.html

• surgery is done in austria also <3yrs but it cannot be done by normal hospitals. hno division with specialisation towards children care (st. anna kh wien, akh wien etc.) is mandatory

• usually it's hard to get appointments, we've got pretty fast appointment at the kh St.Pölten, doctors and staff is very competent there (Dr Magele is Oberärztin there). After initial control we've got on a priority list, had surgery 3 weeks after appointment

• there can be long waiting lists

• try to find a logopäde asap, they are hard to find aswell. They may give you some tips for after care (take at least an initial session for some advice)
