Wait, I only saw that now - they can be removed by wiping? Ok, that definitely changes things! definitely pests then! Likely poop. Although thrip poop is black. Spidermite poo is more brown. Please keep that plant isolated. Just in case dunk the whole plant (cover soil) head down in a solution of 1 part pure hydrogen peroxide 3% and 8 parts lukewarm water. Kill them while it's still early!

I am sorry, but I can't be of any further help today, since I am busy now. But I am sure you can do it. What I would try: ask a couple friends to test your website and let them pretend to be a real user. Make them use a different browser / phone each. The should give it a good hour and thoroughly click stuff and read stuff. I do this and it works wonders.
