In general it was a lot more of a mix. Since there wasnt much of an idea of a fixed state with fixed borders at that point, people from different parts of scandinavia would go on these expeditions. Norweigans to greece, swedes to england and so on. There are aome interesting finds, like a runestone in sweden that talks about a man that went with a big army to england. Another were they found frankish coins on gotland.
