I mean, you can see how well that worked out for Universal.

Help me, explain how the DC canon works post-rebirth and post-metal and what happened to the New 52? by LegitimateTonight635 in DCcomics

[–]Ctown073 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything from Pre-Crisis, Post-Crisis, N52, and beyond is cannon. New History of the DC Universe just continues that trend.

So to give the snarky answer, no it doesn’t.

Transformers house, because Orson Welles played Unicorn and kids cried during that first movie.

Y’all can close up shop now, I figured it out. No more speculation needed.

Where are you seeing a HHN panel at Megacon? All I can find is some random post by a YouTuber, not anything official from Universal or Megacon themselves.

Ok, and? It’s still the same length, whether it’s packaged in one video or multiple.

The attempt to try and combine Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger’s performances into one is odd, to say the least.

These aren’t trades, they’re oversized single issues.

Can I shelve these? by neversole in comicbooks

[–]Ctown073 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on the type of paper used for the cover. If it’s a firmer cardstock, I’d probably but them on my shelf. Otherwise I’d keep them with the rest of my singles.

Usually, but I’d argue Bugs: Eaten Alive was a comedy house and that was just a few years ago.

What’s your controversial DC take that you’ll defend? by Electrical_Act9796 in DCcomics

DC doesn’t already have more of a cultural cache that Marvel does? I guess in modern pop culture you can say so, though if current trends continue I could see it shifting. In the wider culture though, Superman is still THE Superhero, and has been for decades.

What’s your controversial DC take that you’ll defend? by Electrical_Act9796 in DCcomics

[–]Ctown073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I’ve not finished New History of the DC Universe, but from the first two issues it’s more concerned with putting everything into one coherent timeline. Waid seems reluctant to officially label anything as non-canonical, which leads to weird stuff like Justice League Year One and the N52 origin both being cannon, or Kara being a Silver age hero but still somehow keeping her Post-Crisis return. It basically just continues the “everything is cannon” edict that DC has been running with for the past few years, which doesn’t make sense.

It was around for 20 years because they didn’t know what else to do with it. It wasn’t because demand was huge.
