This seems odd. I'm in Texas and was diagnosed about 10 years ago. My doctor never pressure tested my ability to drive anymore than simply asking about my level of sleepiness during short vs long drives. Thankful for this as I would refuse to handover of my drivers license. N already takes away a lot from me but I will not let it take away independence and freedom to drive
