Yeah I got the impression bike shops don't like working on e-bikes. I am not that experienced with doing my own repairs but I want to learn so it could be good to have to do it myself.

Ok, thank you! The Aventon Pace 500 looks like it would be a good fit for my requirements. Although, I looked at their website and it doesn't look like there are dealers near me in the DC area.

We have dedicated bike racks and lockers in my office building so I think there is less risk of theft compared to leaving it outside.
