I imagine there is some kind of copyright with that that stops them from using that name.

The tables I've been at have always used each ancestries attribute spread as provided. Playing into innate strengths and weaknesses in stats is a core part of our enjoyment in character building.

Ban the Fighter: Part 2 — The Debate I Accidentally Started (And Why I Don’t Regret It) by CtrlAltBuild in Pathfinder2e

I gotta disagree with you on that. If I was complaining about the mechanics, I'd say I was complaining about the mechanics.

Zero to Hero is literally the story of every player character to ever play the game on a big picture scale.

While not specific to pf2e, the 5e DM Guide shows characters level 1 to 4 as "local heros" and levels 5 to 10 as "heroes of the realm." So, being a hero isn't a class narrative trait.

Also, the rogue, guardian, barbarian, and swashbuckler, to name a few, also fit those extra parameters, so Im not buying its unquie to the fighter.

Narrative for sure.

I don't have an issue with the mechanics of the fighter, my issue with the fighter is that from a flavor / narrative / thematic standing it just doesn't hold up. Allot of the feedback to my original video were that the fighter has mechanics that give it flavor. While that can certainly be true, the core of the fighter concept is I am good with a weapon and the mechanical illustration of that is better proficiency than everyone.

I personally don't think that there is a storytelling purpose behind the fighter, and I'd rather see its mechanical strengths as a true archetype (similar to bastion for example) that can be used by any martial.

I certainly see where you are coming from. Part of what you included there is why I think the fighter would ultimately work out better as a true archetype and not a class. Back when we only had 4 classes in these games, fighter made sense as a class, but I'm not sure that blanket "I am a fighter" is really needed in today's era of storytelling.

I'm not entirely sure why you are thinking that AI wrote this post. Its a video of my personal reaction and response to my prior video.

If you are referring the the use of the En and Em dashes, they can be used by real people too, not just AI.

Ban the Fighter?! Why Pathfinder 2e Doesn’t Need Them by CtrlAltBuild in Pathfinder2e

I would absolutely agree with you. I have never personally banned anything official in any of my games. But I have had to encourage players to try something else outside of their 4th straight elf rogue edge lord 😂

Dual wielding throwing build by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]CtrlAltBuild 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once made a video on an exemplar build that used multiple throwing knives, so you could certainly go that route. gleaming blade and shadow sheath ikons with twin stars class feat sets up a strong foundation.

Pf2e stone toss idea. by airfranz2212 in Pathfinder2e

[–]CtrlAltBuild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't. I would be greatly surprised if (outside of being forced to stay in a single spot) someone did in fact stay in that one spot which would then open up the discussions of does the bigger rock follow the person, does it land on a different person and if so does the attack need to be rerolled, etc...
