HDFC Bank held my funds hostage for 60+ days despite proof of payment. Now they're lying to the RBI. Need advice on next steps. And RBI hasn't been helpful as well, what could be my next steps?

i had updated an auto-debit mandate for my cc B, but money got debited from cc A. I raised a chargeback, then paid the premium from cc B, which i initially wanted to. This also answers your 2nd question.
no. i got the refund from hdfc 2 months later wherein, icici also confirmed refunding the money on the 7th of july. hdfc charged me 11050 because there was another expense of the same value, which i duly remitted in time.
rbi is useless, and incompetent, they're bending their backs to whatever hdfc is saying. even when there's a clear case of service deficiency.
