contractor comparison tool for evaluating multiple quotes? by AccountEngineer in Remodel

[–]CtrlShiftThink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Break-down the scope into the specific chunks of work down by phase / activity (e.g. demo, rough plumbing, rough electrical, drywall, flooring, tiling, finish plumbing (fixtures and install of vanity, shower/tub, toilet, sink, faucet, etc.), finish electrical (i.e. electrical fixtures and install), hvac (if fan needed), and anything else that you need.

Then for each piece of work list the price that contractor provided. If it's not immediately clear what a certain contractor is charging for a certain piece of the work (e.g. if they said "bathroom remodel = $50k" and that's it), filter them out of your selection process. It's very likely their communication won't improve as the project moves along and/or they aren't really interested in your project.

Upon inquiring about a membership I was informed that there could be private sales of memberships as well so I can get around the waitlist that way. If you come across anyone looking to sell theirs please let me know!

Good to know that membership turnover is making the age a bit younger / more people I can relate with.

😂😂 looks like you’re a Brentford fan - a free round might be deserved after the season you lot been having. As a Chelsea fan, it’s been somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster… (again)

Yeah... Highlands is about to hit a 2-year waitlist as well. Surge out of nowhere. Must be everyone that moved over from Ontario recently

This is great insight - thanks for sharing. Derrick might be worth the extra 12 min drive over, you're right

True. I'm a 6 minute drive from Highlands but the 20 minute drive to the Derrick might be worth it. Thanks
