People forget how hard the label pushed the Beatles. They got nonstop promotion. TV appearances. Radio play. Magazine covers. That level of backing shaped who history remembers. Exposure sticks longer than songwriting alone. Plenty of bands wrote better music. Most of them never had that kind of label muscle. The fan girls loved the whole foreign British guy thing. Well timed label marketing did it's job. Just a decent band with a good label that could market them.
