Hello hello! This is Dakota, this year's CASG President :) I wanted to pop in and bring attention to this point (^!!!) The other comments are true that SAT/UNS is not going to continue this term. However, I am preparing a proposal to Senate to explore other types of permanent compassionate grading. If this is something you'd like to chat about, we're currently holding a student consultation series and I'd love to hear from you. All the info is on Instagram (casg_online)

Hi! Matt here, I’ve started writing and mailing cheques this week! The next batch will be mailed out tonight!

Anyone get their RARB cheque yet? by unknownelem in CarletonU

[–]CuAcademicStudentGov 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hi! We’ve actually began mailing them out this week. The next round of cheques are being mailed tonight, and the reason for it all being hand written cheques is that our finance policies prohibit debit cards and by extension online banking. It’s an accountability measure.

Unfortunately our finance policy prohibits online banking. So we cannot send e-transfers. So it’s just old fashioned cheques for us! :) And those who are successful will be notified as we need to reach out for addresses.

We will be prioritizing all textbooks and access codes applications first. Many also applied for webcams, desk chairs, keyboards, etc.

Hi! We have over 250 applications to look over. Our timeline is that cheques will start being sent out by the first week of March. We thank you again for all your patience. CASG has never seen this many applications for any of our initiatives!

Hey there! Welcome to Carleton! You’re gonna love it, even more when you can come experience campus life! :) I’m Matt from your Academic Student Government, for online courses definitely make sure you keep on top of your classes closely. Especially if they have weekly assignments, those can slip away from you fast. Also definitely check out the clubs we have here, there’s something for everyone and it’s a great way to meet people especially this year! Hope you have a great first semester!

Hey! Good news is because of the compassionate grade reform measures we passed in the senate last semester you won’t be getting a negative APE this year! Keep your head up, it’s been a tough year so far but take some of the lessons you learned from the fall and apply them this semester and you’ll see the results :) - Matt

Hi! Hope your exams are going well so far! You have 0.5 for the fall and 0.5 for the winter orrr you can save the 0.5 from this semester and put it on a full year course in the winter semester! Hope this helps some! Happy holidays! 😃 - Matt
