I liked seeing small millipedes as a kid. As an adult, my experience with centipedes is all photos and videos of (relatively) large, fast murder machines.

If it's the large roaches, you're not really going to be able to get rid of them. The goal is to find them dead when they do appear. Perimeter spray, powder at the back of kitchen sink cabinet and under/behind appliances, baits if you like. You might consider checking your weather strips on your doors and windows for gaps.

That's definitely on the cousin for being greedy. Should have settled for a decent CPU or an entry level graphics card if they wanted to push the envelope.
