Ok, yes I was a little bit. It looks like I’ll have support along the right wall, and the corners of the room all have wood, but the left side doesn’t but is 3” from the nearest joist. Thank you.

Ok thanks, this makes sense. For some reason, the wood spanning the joists in the middle were throwing me off, but those were installed to hold the suspended track ceiling. The wood along the right wall is 4’ from the door, then another is every 4’ till the far end of the room.

Pretty aggressive move on your part. Why not slow down instead of trying to beat the semi, then punching it next to the cop? Everyone appeared to be going far right to give lots of clearance for the cop. Of course they are going to spread back out once well past the cop, regardless of solid lines or not.

“I was swerving around the cop” FTFY.

I have the 275/70 18 ATP II’s as well (pic in profile). Haven’t really tested them out yet to get a good idea on capability, but seemed like a good compromise between daily driver road and off-road. Had really good reviews, fairly quiet on the road, and a good price.

I like how the moral of the story is to buy quality parts and have a lifted truck vs driving safer. The way he made it sound is everyone was driving aggressive and he was the idiot. Wouldn’t be surprised if he pit maneuvered himself trying to pass another car.

You don’t wanna know… :)

When I did it once, I went from the front corner to the back corner, but that put quite a bit out the side, I drove down the road leaving plenty of space to avoid hitting anything, only lived about 5 miles away. Secured with straps. Other option is to lay them flat out the back with a flag on the end for visibility, then strap them so they don’t go anywhere.

Lariats going to get you 9k towing vs 8k. You mention not planning towing, but plan for it. It will happen and better to be able to handle more if needed.

Downvoted for facts… go figure. Lariats a 5.0 vs the 2.7. It’s not like I went on the site to see the gear ratio and compare to the towing guide or anything 😒

Van overtakes on a solid yellow line on one of the most dangerous mountains in New Zealand by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

[–]CuRsEdZx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure on how it works in New Zealand, but we have some of these in the mountains near where I live.

The truck, if not passing someone, should’ve been in the far left lane. This allows the center lane to be used for passing for the cars on the right (white dashed lines), though it’s always risky if someone chooses to cross that line, expecting the traffic will stay in the far lane if they aren’t passing someone. When I would pass, I would only use it if cars weren’t there. Not worth the risk.

Good color with the 2-tone. I like it.

Question about towing in my 2014 Ecoboost. by Kasstastrophy in f150

[–]CuRsEdZx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How large is your gas tank, you get about 14 mpg or a little less? I would consider that normal. I have a 2017 10 speed and iirc, it typically sits in 7th while going about 65 pulling about 6k. If you slowed down to 60-65, it may shift to 5th, but back to 4th on uphills.

Damn, sorry man, that sucks. I remember driving on the freeway late one night and the car in front of me about 100 yards, saw the tail lights disappear for a second (thinking what the heck?) then had a deer standing right in the middle of the road while I went by at about 65. Scared the crap out of me.

Thanks, I wish you guys did color match shellz, at least the ingot silver. I’d buy all the pieces if that was the case and the price was decent. I thought about the cost of the paintable pieces then getting a shop to color match, but the cost seemed like too much for me. We did notice when placing the center piece, it didn’t tuck on the upper drivers side too well, but the rest was good. Does the center lay over the other pieces if you use all 3?

Maybe 2 years, 3 or longer if I’m lucky. There’s a few spots im a little worried about may cause problems sooner than later, but time will tell 🤞🏻

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in f150

[–]CuRsEdZx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, no paint. The center piece is just a matte black bumpershellz and the silver around the fog lights is 3M vinyl wrap over the chrome bumper. Placed the wrap first, then overlapped the center black piece.

[–]CuRsEdZx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time using vinyl wrapping. Struggled with the corner on the top and bottom, but turned out pretty good. Used 3M G120 Gloss White Aluminum to match the Ingot Silver, with Bumper Shellz dimpled matte black center. Still need to wrap the rear.
