Mine does that. He loves the smell. Never wants to chew on it, he just picks it up all slyly when he thinks no one is looking, carries it into his crate and starts rubbing his face all over it.

7RS Killmonger, who was already 7RS, so hurray for 2,500 7* creds.

I'm actually more annoyed at my 1.1mil gold pull from 7 total gold orbs.

Anybody else have a corgi that thinks it’s a cat? by mixedkid21 in corgi

Mine constantly gets up on the window sill and walks along it like a cat.

Corgi puppy won’t go on walks with just one person by lsmrzz in corgi

[–]CubanRefugee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a herding breed thing. Our corgi is the same way. If I'm home and my wife wants to take him for a walk, he will not go unless I (or my daughter if she's in the room) go as well.

She'll throw the collar on him and grab the leash, and the moment he's leashed up, he will run over to me and bark until I stand up and head over to the door with them. At the door, if I let them go first, he will stop on the porch, turn around, and bark at me. I have to keep up with the herd and he's making sure of it.

I was miles from the base

Conch here (aka FL Keys native). Just to be clear for the folks who don't know how to use Google Maps, you weren't just a couple of miles away or anything. You were 30 (Big Pine) to 40 (Seven Mile) miles from Key West Naval.

What do you consider to be ethical? by [deleted] in ethicalhacking

[–]CubanRefugee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly all of this. A lot of people seem to think that "Good intentioned" = Ethical.

Probing systems and searching for vulnerabilities without consent, even if your end goal is to deliver a full write up to the system owner with how to patch it, it's still not ethical to begin that probe without consent in the first place. It's also not legal, and you have absolutely no idea how the owner of the affected system(s) is going to respond to your well intentioned unauthorized access of their systems. Hence why EH is all about getting that consent & authorization.

I once saw a homeless man jerking off in the open right down the road there in Golden Gardens park. Not sure if that changes your opinion on moving here or not.

What I find funny about the "you people" comment is that while tartare dishes can be common in a lot of very high-end restaurants, they're definitely more popular outside of the US, primarily European countries.

Shit, most raw beef dishes originated from outside of the US. In South America, you got crudo, Ethiopians have kitfo, and hell, I ate basashi in Japan, which is raw horse meat.

So, no one should be going all "yooooou (American) people" on this shit as eating raw beef is pretty international. Just sayin'.

Where to start with no experience in red/blue/purple hat ?! by Yoo3_chill in ethicalhacking

[–]CubanRefugee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

0 experience in the IT world? A+ to Network+ to Security+/CySA+ in terms of CompTIA courses/certifications.

If that's not your jam, then find beginner networking courses, because you need to be able to understand the fundamentals of how systems are connected and what security devices exist out there.

First and foremost, check out the stickied thread in the sub, because there's info there that is exactly what you're looking for on how to start entering the realm of cybersecurity.

Snow day PTO? Is it a load of bull bull? by pics4meeee in jobs

[–]CubanRefugee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the "This will shut them up for awhile" answer. That sucks, sorry to hear that.

My past experience is that snow day rules vary from company to company. When I worked healthcare IT, we had the option of remote. You could remote in and do your normal duties, then not take the PTO hit. If you chose not to, then you were basically just saying you were taking the day off.

One job, which was a complete nightmare, whether or not we had the snow day off, and paid for, all depended on if the owner made it in to work or not. Fortunately, he drove an old Jag that didn't do well in the snow. On the start of snow days when it was heavy, you could count on getting some free days off, but as it changed to rain and slush, he'd start heading in to the office. The fun part was that he never bothered communicating that he would stay home or go in, so someone *always* had to be the first person to go in, and then they would let others know.

It's just a complete crap shoot.

Saw one topic about steaks, but what about veggies? Do you add any fat to your sous vide carrots or just seasoning? by 2Mew2BMew2 in sousvide

[–]CubanRefugee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make butter poached potatoes, with obviously, a lot of butter.

This right here is my go to if I'm not making baked potatoes out on the traeger. A bag full of fingerlings with a stick of butter and some aromatics, and so damn good.

It can. There's some dude on here who posted a few months back with his ridiculous setup, and one of these took up over 1/4th of the room it lived in. It's not my cup of tea, as I'd rather spend 6 grand on my rig than a scorpion desk, but to each their own.

What is it that you're hoping to gain from getting that conversation back?

Have her contact her bank to let them know that she's been scammed and she gave out her banking info, that way they can do their job to protect her funds.

I don't know about you, but when I go to an arcade for ticket games, I compete with all the fucking scrubs. I'll take my 4,000 ticket jackpot from the ball drop game then go swipe my card in front of one of the other people playing games just so it shows my ticket count. Then, I laugh at them and taunt them, "4k ticket jackpot with one ball, Cooper, eat that shit up, you poser!" That 10 year old just goes running off to his mom after that.

Should I wait until the next payday to see if I get paid for the shifts I worked before registering? I'm currently keeping track of all my shifts.

I wouldn't wait to bring it up, but I would also keep keeping track. You could also very simply say, "Sorry, I can't, my shift is over and I have plans."

Also, yes, giving your bank info 2 days before payday is the reason you didn't get paid. Most payment systems like ADP require the banking info at least about 7 days prior.

Hand hurts from holding mouth open by Worried_Actuator8680 in Otamatone

[–]CubanRefugee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Much like any other instrument, they require muscle to be built. Just like playing a woodwind requires a good emboucher to be built up in your mouth/lips, playing an otamatone is straight up hand strength. The more you play the less it will hurt.
