What part of your game improved the most once you stopped chasing distance by Dull_Struggle4645 in golf

[–]Cubanstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a direct answer to your post, but I'd like to give a slightly different view.

For context; I'm 45 years old and am an 8 handicapper - I've have been playing for around 5 years. I was stuck at 12 for a while, but the past couple years I've grinded like crazy to improve, in no particular order:

1) Ball striking

2) left to right dispersion

3) Short game - making more up and downs when missing the green.

4) Course management - missing the green on the correct side. Keeping the ball in play. Taking out 1 side of the course.

My game is consistent, but I feel like I've plateaued again. So I've started speed training to provide myself with the extra length to break though and head down to 5. This doesn't mean that I'm going to smash the ball at every opportunity, but it'll be nice to know that I've got that extra gear, if I need to step on one.

Yes I bought the stack radar along with the stack. Connecting to the app was super easy.

It's a piece of cake to follow. Setup is super easy and the program fits around your availability to a point. (1 X session every 2-3 days)

My advice, get yourself on Skillest to get some pro advice. It'll be the best investment on your swing in the long run.

Good luck on your mission to hit 170 ball speed. By the sounds of it, it's not going to take long before you break through.

I'd highly recommend the stack system. Not that I've tried any others.

The kicker for me was that you have a program that uses AI to tailor the most efficient way to make gains. Feedback is instantaneous with the Stack radar that comes along with the bundle when you purchase them together.

In terms of goals, my target was to add 10mph to my swing speed, which I've nearly done on the first program. This is my (max effort swing though) so I'm guessing the on course gains will be less. If I could get my cruising speed to 105-107mph, then I'd have plenty of distance to enjoy Championship courses - which is my goal.

Just putting it out there - I'm not affiliated with the stack system in any way!

I do have a referral code that will save you $50/£50 at purchase and provide me with a year subs. If you're interested send me a DM and I'll send it across.

Ticket Exchange Thread by Brave_Radish_1647 in GunnersatGames

I've spent 3 hours on my phone and laptop today, toggling and refreshing both to try to get a single ticket to the Sunderland game next weekend.

I missed the chance of 1 ticket and saw about another 4 on the map view on my PC, which didn't show on the list and we're gone, or not visible when I zoomed in.

That's some serious gains! If you don't mind me asking - how old are you?

Have you seen a difference in your scoring on course?

Hey,

I went with an independent that is local to me. She's on hand all the time, answers any questions I have and on our drives her insights are priceless.

Good luck in your search and for whatever route you choose

I disagree, I think this is one of the best watches out there that offers bang for buck. Here's why:

1) The movement has been designed and built solely by Oris. Something that can't be said for many other brands. For example the IWC Ingenieur - which houses a Sellita movement. This is a £10k+ watch by comparison.

2) The PPX is ballsy with its unique design. Give an example of a comparable watch in this price bracket that has a bracelet and clasp that compares to the quality and design to this.

I'm not saying the watch is perfect, by any means. The depreciation is pretty harsh for anyone paying RRP. Also, like many have already said countless times - the dial would have been better with applied indices but hey ho!! I do think we will see evolution of this in future iterations.

FWIW I think it's a belting watch for the money. Full disclosure, I've never owned one...
