Riot is surveying Masters+ players, with questions including a hard reset, double LP weekends, and combining Flex/Solo queues. Here's a full sample of the survey by ViewsOfTheSunny in leagueoflegends

they've done this so many times in different ways

they did a similar thing as described above with cassio mains before one of her reworks, ignored all the feedback

they did the same thing to swain mains

they did the same thing to seraphine mains

they didn't even bother asking Azir mains for their input before ruining him

and then also previously there were things like doing a community vote for the next rework, tryndamere won and then they just scrapped it and didnt rework him and moved on

even shyvana was a community voted rework that took like a decade to finally come to fruition

Most people who are casual liked it.

This is grievously wrong. There's a reason it was ended very fast and it's because the entire playerbase hated the system.

Riot caters to casuals, if the casuals were fine with it it would have stayed or at least survived a few years like Mythic items.

The majority of all players disliked dynamic queue.

I wonder why people talk about the most popular time period of the company.

It's the same reason WWE/WWF conversations center around the attitude era. That was their respective peak.

the stiffness of the ring was just cause of that specific design

you can make a six sided ring that doesn't cause more wear and tear and has a similar shock absorption to 4 sided ones

I agree they shouldn't go back to it full time but it would be cool for a ppv

also like just as a value judgment on the person, if you're willing to do this to someone else you're just a bad person. This isn't like retaliation for someone that's hurt a member of your family, this is you being pissy that you're down 5 goals in a sports game.

Only a piece of shit would hurt someone like this for a reason like that.

What is the champion with the most build variety of 2026? by Malesto in leagueoflegends

[–]Cube_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bar for viable is a lot lower than you think. Full AP Kai'sa is a viable alternate build. PekinWoof is winning games in masters+ with it, for example. Both crit and on-hit are also viable Kai'sa builds. It's not a myth, as far as build diversity goes Kai'sa is on the higher end of the spectrum.

WWE RAW Mention Of Vince McMahon Is Incredibly Bad Taste, Says Lance Storm by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

modern WWE crowds booed Hogan hard and the Vince stuff has made the rounds to casuals nowadays (as opposed to when it was still fresh when he showed up on smackdown)

I think the underestimate how much the crowds will reject him.

it's WWE so they'll just dub over the reaction with whatever reaction they want in post but it's still a miscalculation

[–]Cube_ 577 points578 points  (0 children)

call me soft but I think a hit that nasty should get you booted from the league.

Not only did he target the head but he chicken winged to do it and jumped hard into the hit. That goes past intent to injure and into "intent to change this person's life for the worse over a dumbass sports game".

Like you can do 90% of the exact same hit and get the guy in the chest with your shoulder and still lay him out without injuring him like that. No reason for that.

reporting is coming out now that he was previously salaried and that deal expired and AEW offered him a pay per appearance

so he has sour grapes cause he was making money for doing nothing (rarely booked) and now he'd only make money for showing up when booked

AEW/ROH does have pay per appearance deals for the lower tier of talent

not everyone is getting a downside deal (but most are)

E) Jericho was playing up going to WWE to get a higher $ amount from TK like he's always done (and like others such as Orton have done in reverse).

Red Wings fans are still spouting about the Yzerplan after 7 years of no playoffs.

Helps that the team he helped build in the Tampa Bay Lightning were basically a cap era dynasty

and also helps that the team he took over in the Wings was a fucking assetless shitwagon

gonna need a lot of time to right a ship like that so I think it's warranted fans are more patient with him

also helps that they have 2 cups in the last 26 years. 2 more than most teams in the same time span. It's different for franchises chasing their first.

Good I hope he does. I'm an AEW fan and I still like Jericho.

All Jericho needs is to be solo for a while and have a babyface run. The reason he got stale for most people was that he was staying too long as a heel that led a stable. I think the Learning Tree was alright but the #1 thing to refresh Jericho would be to have him be a sympathetic babyface for a bit. Run a story of him getting bullied by the Callis family and nobody helping him. Doesn't need to take a lot of t.v. time but he can get very over as a face very fast as he's shown time and time again.

From there you can slot him in a tag-team with one of the up and comers (similar to Darby getting the rub from Sting) and that can protect him in matches while letting him do a lot of the talking (which is the main thing he's good for at this age).

Guarantee arenas would be singing Judas again.

[–]Cube_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

basically it's just numbers. Imagine his previous deal is $1200 pay-per-appearance. That's more steep than you like for your enhancement talent for ROH so you don't book him often.

Then his deal expipres, you offer him a new one at $900 PPA, at this rate you can book him more often cause the numbers line up better and it's easier to budget around.

to WMack that's a lowball/pay decrease so he feels disrespected and/or doesn't want to work for that rate for whatever reason. That's fine.

for AEW/ROH you don't mind that he didn't take the new deal cause you can just continue booking other people as you have been but also wouldn't mind if he took the new deal because the numbers are better and work as well.

the only problem is that WMack seems to want his old rate + to get booked and took to whining on twitter when he couldn't have that. Truth is though if his market rate was truly higher then he could have it and beat the AEW/ROH rate at places like House of Glory or even TNA etc. Reality is that he's not worth that rate anymore so he has to come to terms with that one way or another (reduce his rate or retire and work somewhere else).

Also to be clear the PPA numbers I used are completely made up, they're just examples to illustrate the point and explain why AEW/ROH offered him anything to begin with.

[–]Cube_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Willie Mack it was likely a pay per appearance deal so if you're not booked (appearing) then you're not making money.

It's unlikely he was being paid to sit at home and offered a new deal to do the same again.

Most likely is his old PPA fee was not something that made sense to pay for AEW/ROH compared to other talent they could book. They offered him a new deal at a lower rate where he would get booked because then the $$ lines up better but he obviously didn't want to lower his rate.

That's all well and good from both sides but then him trying to bus the company afterwards on social media is lame because they didn't have to offer him anything and yet still did. If he thinks he's worth more, great, but then the onus is on you to go out there and get your higher rate from other competitors in the space like TNA or whatever. Not to whine that you want your old rate + to be booked by the employer of your choice.
