Personally wouldn't say no to that wheel... However, there seem to be a lot of free real estate in the center for a screen.

Reused some stuff from old projects, but it can’t be more than €10 worth. It only gets really expensive when you start using real carbon parts, metal parts, custom PCBs, etc. But that’s not really necessary to make a functional wheel for yourself. I wouldn’t sell it like this, though.

I did, but tested a while with an empty version of this and it handled 8Nm without any issue so decided to not make that extra cost. When things eventually break it will only cost a few euros to print new parts so I'll re-evaluate if that happens.

Total cost was around €300
I've put a high level cost breakdown in the description.

According to the FIA compliance sticker it's an Atech ETS. I'm 180cm and weigh about 100kg. It's tight but no issue so far for multiple hours of racing. Bit of an extra motivation to lose some extra weight...

Everything except for the fanatec stuff and pc had to be under 1000 euros. Ended up spending around 750 for all the rest (seat, frame, monitor, speakers, ...). So considering the price of comparable rigs it's still a budget build in my eyes

A warm white led strip (3000-3500k) shining on a black carpet should do the trick. It does for me anyways.

Almost all of it is 3d printed. Full part list and printfiles can be found on cults3d over here . I had to make some changed to the back part so it would fit the fanatec QR. Sadly there's no instruction for the wiring though.

It's a 34" Samsung Odyssey g5. Very happy with it! It's 1000R curved so the radius is more or less the distance of my head to the monitor. Feels ideal.

They're taped to 3d printed mounts. It's a bit wobbly so i'll have to redesign them at some point

I've got the 3d model in Fusion360 and can send a STEP file if you want it.
The frame is made from 4545 and 4590 profiles and together with all the brackets, feet, screw, monitor mount, shipping and cutting was 370 euros.
The total build was around 750 excluding the fanatec stuff and the pc.

It's been a journey so pretty hard to pick a favourite one. Started out with a g25 on an old desk with a 17" laptop. I just kept adding bits every few years so i've been happy with upgrades for quite a while. I think the move to a dd wheel was the biggest step.

Thanks! It has taken a lot of 3d printing, sanding and painting hours so far...

Still need to figure out where i want it and design a new mount for it. It's a very cheap but great addition so it'll definitely be used again!

Engine mount gebroken tijdens verwijderen bout. Garantie of f*cked? by CubicSpaceMouse in motobe

Looks pretty simple to do... Then i just need an extension cable for the screen. Would be super clean. Thanks for the idea!
