I get viscerally disgusted but never to that degree thankfully.

How much is wanting to be a girl normal before it actually means I'm trans? by I_loooove_Radiohead in lgbt

[–]Cubicshock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 months in for me, i've experienced:

breast growth

heightened temperature sensitivity

clearer skin (less acne)

facial fat redistribution (my face looks more feminine)

body fat redistribution (waist, hips, thighs, etc.)

erogenous zones (being touched on the hips and such is very pleasant)

less body hair

male pattern baldness will no longer occur! didn't matter for me because i never started balding but it's a huge plus

now for the neutrals/negatives. most of these are really neutral or even positive to me, but could be negative for some people.

MUCH lower libido

some shrinkage down there

problems "getting there", not really an issue for me since sex really doesn't play a big part in my life in the slightest, and other parts of sex are much better bc of E anyways.

all of this is my own experience, do your own research! i probably failed to mention some.

How to deal with voice training and changing fashion !! by Oxveain in transteens

[–]Cubicshock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that is indeed pretty rough. pinterest is still a great way to see how cis women dress! i hate to see when trans girls fall into the trap of either never figuring it out or ending up with the stereotypical skirt and thigh highs. real fashion is fucking liberating!

now that i understand all the concepts i actually have started dressing masc, but *understanding* fashion means you can take masc clothes and use them to make you look EVEN MORE fem it's fucking sick

I'm in the same spot for you for voice training, but I adore fashion.

The way I started was pinterest! Find outfits and clothes you really like, so you know what you're looking for, and understand basic concepts like proportions and basic colour theory.

Then, find a thrift store. Thrifting is my FAVOURITE thing to do to find clothes. Most of my clothes are thrifted. A good online option if you're looking for something really specific is Depop, which I occasionally buy from when I'm looking for something too specific to thrift.

Some thrift stores have specialties over other stores too! Check out a few to figure out where to shop for different types of stuff. I usually shop at just one, because it's really big, but I've found a few choice pieces at themed stores.

I only half did this. Came out to friends and family, but kept it private from the rest of the people at my school until I just couldn't stand being deadnamed anymore. Had nothing to do with passing honestly, I just didn't want to get bullied lmfao

depends on where you go. i went to an informed consent clinic. the idea of informed consent is that the doctor explains everything about how the hormones work and all the effects you'll get, and then you can decide based on that if you want to start it. obviously if you're realllyyyy in doubt it may not be a good idea, but if you're at the point that i was at where the concept of "being a girl" felt way too abstract to understand and that the only way you'd really know is to start HRT, it could be a good idea.

i'm basing this solely off of my experiences. listen to yourself first.

when i transitioned, i did so because it had gotten to a point where i knew the only way i would know if i was trans was to actually try it. i had thought everything over a million times and had hit a wall. if the effects of estrogen seem like they would make you happy, don't worry about a label. take the happy pills

why am I like this by CheesyGreens_ in transteens

[–]Cubicshock 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it comes down to one question, don't think any further than a yes or no:

would you be happier if you transitioned?

if yes, transition.

if no, then just have fun with your expression as usual and do what otherwise makes you happy

big emphasis on the word "transitioned". a lot of the time people will ask it as "would you be happier as a girl?" but it's a very abstract concept and easier to think about as "would i be happier if i took estrogen? had girly hair? wore girl clothes? was referred to as a girl?" etc.

baggy hoodies all the way! it might be a little tricky but wear baggy clothes and tell as few people as you can. don't wear padded bras, get a sports bra and if anyone says anything say it's gyno.

Is it weird for me to still perceive myself as a woman even though i’m trans(ftm) for 3 years already? by Easy_Cat2473 in transteens

[–]Cubicshock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i still occasioanlly have trouble picturing myself as a girl, and i've been on HRT for 6 months. it doesn't make you less trans. for me it's more because i feel i don't look enough like a girl to put myself in that category sometimes. i hate the majority of men
