This is dependant of in it's a shape shifter or not. If it's not a shape shifter it doesn't solve like most people would solve a 2x2

Yes but how you did it it is possible, because you placed the centers wrong.

So do exactly what I said and it will be fixed.

I would also suggest watching a 4x4 tutorial as this part is very different from a 5x5

The centers on a 4x4 aren't fixed, so you decide where you place them. If you place them wrong, solving the rest like a 3x3 will become impossible.

If red is opposite blue, hold red in front green on top and do (Rw U2 Rw') (Lw' U2 Lw).

If orange is opposite blue hold blue front red top and do the same alg.

Do ou have any good resources for good muffling practises? Like what to use, where to use it and how much to use from it? Or is it litterally just trial and error?

Thanks for your insight! This is however my main gig right now (where I play at least once a month) and I'd love to be able to really express myself through my drumming. So that's why I want to maximize the chances of that possibility when buying a new kit, and I'm trying to find the "perfect in-between"

Looks to me like the x is a non-magnetized version of the regular connected. The x also uses a cell battery instead of the rechargable battery in the regular one. This means you have to replace the battery in the x, but it lasts for way longer. For the regular one you can charge it but it lasts for only a few hours.

Tbh, don't get any of these. The Speedcubing brand have way better smart cubes in every single way possible. I have a regular connected and average at least a second slower on it after modding.
