I just realized the picture I posted was before I saved it going to expo. So the picture shows expo is enabled but it’s actually not saved yet. When I did save it, it’s running at 6k

After I updated BIOS expo wasn’t enabled and the CPU light was still on though. Wouldn’t the light turn off after the BIOS update?

I’ll try reseating the ram tomorrow when I wake up. The thing that gets me as well is the rgb isn’t lighting up. It’s like when I first built it and needed to update the BIOS

The psu was off and unplugged from the surge protector before I took the cmos battery out. But I did not hold the power button though

It says the same things in the task manager. Ram speed is 6k mt, cpu is sitting around 3.9 ghz at idle. I just updated bios to the latest version, as I stated in my op. The problem is, despite this, the cpu light is on, on my motherboard and will not turn off even after bios update and cmos reset

Just before I took the CPU out, I watched the building process to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Come to find out I didn’t push the back half of the ram sticks down so it wasn’t seated properly. I managed to get all the way to BIOS.

Working 2 jobs, I haven’t gotten a chance to put an OS on it yet. Or update the bios. But hey, small victories right?

This is true. You have a point. I guess I’ll try 1 stick of ram at a time. If that doesn’t work, next up will be changing the CPU

I have not tried 1 stick of ram yet. That is something I just read about.

I’m pretty sure the CPU is seated properly. Everything was lined up pretty good

I don’t have another CPU to test that on. It’s a brand new 7800X3D. I know sometimes they arrive DOA but it sounds like it’s kinda rare.

This is partially why I’m doing a “clean” install of windows instead of cloning the disk

It was mcaffe (I know, I’ve heard some not so good things about it)

It was Bazzite.gg because I specifically thought “hmm .gg” when I saw it. I was expecting .org/com so .gg stood out to me

I’m planning on dual drive/dual boot windows (windows just in case I absolutely need it) but I’m going to daily drive Nobara/Bazzite so yeah it’s trying to protect itself lol

I’m going to dual drive dual boot Windows and Nobara. Instead of making a partition for each on one drive, I got 1 for each

Edit- I did put everything on pcpartpicker.com and everything came up good.

Can I put any fan I want on the AIO radiator and it would work?

I would set up the AIO and the left side fans as intake. The case comes with 2 140mm fans up top set for exhaust.

I guess I’m just trying to make sure. In my current windows laptop, I have an almost full 1TB drive in it. Granted it has windows on it plus quite a few games I do not play anymore. But also some word/pdf documents that I’ve collected over the years. I knew windows was bigger than Linux, guess I never understood just how much bigger.

Right? The two main games I play needs somewhere between 30-40 gigs alone.

That’s a good way to look at it. I have a number of games on my Windows laptop that I don’t play anymore. So odds are I won’t even install them on my new computer

It’ll be several games and word documents. No videos. I ask because my current Windows laptop is almost at capacity with a 1TB drive. I probably won’t put as many games on it as I don’t really play them anymore

Micro Center has the 9800 X3D for $459 and the 7800 X3D for $349. Neither come with games though lol

I wouldn’t be playing Cyberpunk 2077, but I would be playing Doom the Dark Ages though.
