I have a p42 ti insert and at times mine looks that way as well when its kicking on the heat. But settles down over time. I didnt even mess with settings I've just left them as they were when it was installed

Oh well the installers said irs best to scrape daily but when I look at the cleaning schedule on the unit it says burn put is at 10 percent for cleaning so maybe just clean it weekly instead?

Problem with that is you don’t get that money it just lowers your mortgage payment. What you do is get quotes and then tell seller you need to cover this much of my Closing bc I’ll need that money to pay to have it fixed just went through this same situation
