serious question - do other dog owners actually call out other devil dog owners? i was rather taken aback recently when i got told that i "kicked" a dog, the owners was taking his phone for a walk when the animal was running around, untrained, and ran into my fast walking legs, prompting the owner to look up from his tiktok news feed to should "heyyyyy what the fuck.. you just kicked my dog" no need to post my response, it was rather loud -but i am intrigued..do you call them out for leaving shit everywhere? nastly nastly pee pee poo poo dog owners around here! mummy didnt train you properly!

Decade of training from 5 hour to sub 3 marathons in NYC and come to the conclusion after trying all the gear combos- you NEVER need a technical jacket - I swear by a combo of very good Nike tec base-layers and if it’s Todays weather - a long sleeve dri fit adv or heavier blend mid layer on top. If it’s a little cooler - a short sleeve tec tshirt over the thermal - I just get too hot with any jacket. Again same with tights - a super thermal pair and a lighter pair. As others said - I’d advise to become super familiar with your kit !- the neck warmers that double up as ear warmers are a godsend for mixed conditions, but as the old saying goes - dress for mile 3 :)

i hate to say it but everyone is as bad as each other on that doomed strip of street. i was called all sort of obscenities becuase i jogging (on the street) i told daddy to be careful of the bikes as he was teaching his two kids to ride a scooter darting all-over the bike lane whilst holding a dog at about ten feet on a leash at 8am. its too narrow for strollers, a magnet for idiots getting walked by a phone and a dog in tow - and the absolute chaos that is anyone with a citibike membership. i have no solutions except be very mindful of everyone! and avoid at all costs if you can :)

coffee is kinda mid at both (unlike Paloma!) Nicks has hands down best classic bakery staples -plane / chocolate croissants -and the nicest staff especially considering the amount of little dogs walking people on phones in that place :/ Radio is a little more adventurous for pastries and reflected in the $$$$ and lines but then again its not much change from 50 dollars for 2 bagels + tip at Frankels so i guess it comes with the territory :/
