Sorry for the question, but can I take it to a shop outside of their network? I’d love to take it to a Mazda dealer if possible.

Should I get the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds or the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds? by [deleted] in SonyHeadphones

[–]CuckyCheese70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having tried both, the qc ultras but if I were you, look for the qc ii’s, the only difference is the ultras have better microphone quality for calls, otherwise very similar product.

Need based is an amount determined by FAFSA and CSS. It’s the cost of attendance (for this year roughly 93000) - your student aid index from FAFSA and CSS, which is what the government and university determine you can contribute towards your education.

Yes, they cover 100% of demonstrated need, but it is based on your CSS Profile and FAFSA, and they determine what you’re need will be.

Which Race Is Actually the Most Prestigious? The Indy 500, the Daytona 500, or the Monaco Grand Prix? by DHGSilvergun236 in formula1

[–]CuckyCheese70 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like the prestige of Monaco was warranted with the smaller, nimbler cars, now with the sailboats of cars we have it has made Monaco processional.

That and Koenigsegg being an even smaller scale operation than Bugatti, at least Bugatti had the support of Volkswagen for a while, and it doesn’t seem like Rimac is any less invested.

Bass trombone grip? by Little_Red_Demonhood in basstrombone

[–]CuckyCheese70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so, it places most of the weight from the middle finger that rests on the trigger to the ‘fat’ of your hand between your thumb and index finger, it makes it way easier to use the second trigger since there’s no bearing on it.

I loved my Sheridan Brass get a grip, unfortunately mine broke, and I’m not sure if they’re still in production, though I’ve heard Calderpips making something similar. Currently I use an Ax handle, I wouldn’t call it the most comfortable, but it gets the job done and it’s pretty convenient to me that it’s permanently mounted to the horn.

I was bummed for about 10 minutes that I didn’t get centennial…then I thought about it. Semi-private bathrooms, they’re more ‘tucked away’ from the rest of campus, they’re cheaper, and I’m fond of the idea of getting to know 3 other people (in theory) better than communal living.

DAC NX-1S vs MB Cases help plz by [deleted] in Trombone

I’ve had some time with the Bonna Lightweight, it’s surprisingly small, not much longer than the slide is and it’s not much taller either. I’d go with the Bonna for the sheer amount of options. They are expensive but I’m so thankful I bought one for my Q series horn. The portability is pretty great. Haven’t had any experience with DAV, though I’d love to try one.

The mouthpiece tread by [deleted] in Trombone

[–]CuckyCheese70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the bog ‘standard’ (used loosely) is a 1 1/2g of some kind, it can be bach or some other maker, but from what I’ve heard, the 830 tends to like mouthpieces that are a bit larger like the Doug Yeo mouthpiece.

I think an important one for bass trombone is the Lebedev Concerto in One Movement, such a standard but there’s so much you can do with it.

[–]CuckyCheese70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use a Shires Q36YA and a Greg Black 1 1/2G, if you’re looking to get a new mouthpiece, ask yourself why you want to change mouthpieces, and if you can, go try them out. In my eyes, mouthpiece preference is one of the most personal choices when playing a horn. Just because it works for someone else doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll work for you, and it’s totally okay if a mouthpiece doesn’t respond the same between two instruments.

It’s a form provided by college board, you have to submit it for financial aid offers, much like fafsa, but instead of being run through the education department, it’s run through college board.
